But why pay then when you can pay $0/dev/month?

There are alternatives, that's where the example fails. Oftentimes people like to mirror their personal dev with their professional dev. So if they have to buy it for personal, they won't. And then they won't want to use it for work

I never loved the additional indentation of python context managers. For me the Go way is nicer to look at!

I am a classical pianist and started when I was 6 years old. Daily practice, weekly lessons, competitions, the whole thing. While it isn't my career, at this point in my life playing classical piano is a major escape and big time enjoyment

Totally agreed. For anything I want to persist I put it on my blog

I’m not sure I could ever go back to the no-Lua land alternative

So true. I was able to get a quick plugin I was wanting up and running in a couple of hours. No Lua or neovim API experience and it wasn't bad at all. I definitely need to clean it up and iterate a bit but it's already usable

I had been a Vim user for a *very* long time. I'm about 2 months into a switch to Neovim and it's a world of difference on so many levels. Particularly, I just started writing my first plugin. It's such a great experience using Lua. I never had an interest in Vimscript
