A magnitude 1.6 #earthquake has been reported near Morristown, NJ, this morning!
Residents reported feeling vibrations, but there are no reports of damage or significant shaking.
THE BIG QUESTION: Was this an isolated event, or could it be a foreshock to something larger? There's no way to know for certain, and most small earthquakes are not followed by larger ones.

A nor'easter continues to lurk offshore, with little if any impact inland, but elevated winds and waters near and on the tidal waters. Continue to use caution if venturing near or on the tidal waters today.
Mostly Sunny, Peak Tide Tonight 🌊 Tonight's high tide is the big one, with minor flooding from the Jersey Shore to Long Island's south shore and moderate possible in some back bays. Frost chances return this weekend 🍂

Inland areas may hardly notice, but a nor'easter will be lurking off the coast for the next few days. While no rain is expected even at the coast, some increase in clouds, winds, surf and water levels is expected. Use caution if venturing near or onto the waters.
Breezy With High Tides. Gusts of 25 to 30 mph today, strongest at the coast. A Coastal Flood Advisory runs from 3 to 9 PM for the Jersey Shore from Ocean County south and the Delaware beaches. Wednesday evening's tide is the one to watch, with low end moderate flooding possible, especially in the back bays.
