(1/2) Just in time for back to school: the power of agentic coding has landed in Search. Anyone can now create custom tools and simulations to visualize different topics.
One cool example: I asked AI Mode “make an interactive 3D fractal Mandelbulb visual I can zoom into” and it coded and rendered this visualization, right in Search & on the fly.
Available globally in English (free of charge). Try it by asking AI Mode to create a simulation for whatever’s on your mind. Plus, we’ve started to roll out these interactive visuals in AI Overviews.
lmk what you create!

"We're never going to move past React unless we move past React."
Funny that big orgs also let their AI models pick React by default instead of their own frameworks. It's a big snowball!
I wonder if people think innovation is dead in the frontend? At this point it's just incremental performance gains? That there isn't anything to gain architecturally by changing the formula?
It would partially explain why there is resistance to move past old React and excitement around things like Vinext or Redact. The lower excitement around things like Qwik's resumability.
We're never going to move past React unless we move past React.
Can't wait to migrate my open source code from GitHub to the Atmosphere.
tangled.org is a decentralized code sharing system built on the At Protocol (the decentralized protocol Bluesky created).
html-in-canvas is an work-in-progress new web spec that officially allows rendering HTML into a canvas.
No more hacks, not more CORS issues. An official API!
It'll be similar to using a `<video>` as a WebGL or WebGPU texture, for example, except that the video is live HTML/DOM.
HTML-in-Canvas will open a door for innovation on the web
Create UIs and user experiences that are more engaging and sensible than ever before
Very straightforward and accessible
Extremely normal interfaces!

Experimental - Requires activation of the chrome://flags/#canvas-draw-element flag in Chrome
Very delightful.
I’ve been working on the sand erosion physics for my sand castle building game.
Still needs some tuning, but it’s starting to behave the way I want.

This is incredibly awesome. Web 3D will be the new Blender/Cinema4D. We'll load any tools from various websites, and make games/experiences entirely in our web browsers. Just like those CSS generator tools.
It's happening! Just watch!
I was tired of hunting for good looking tree assets that didn't cost a fortune, so I decided to make a tool to generate my own.
50+ parameters, direct export to GLB, 100% free.
