They have demanded: - Intensification of struggle for statehood & Article 370 - Time-bound implementation of NC's 2024 manifesto - Removal of an advisor & 4 ministers who have completed 2 years - Comprehensive cabinet reshuffle The memorandum has been delivered at residences of party's top leadership.

#Biggest Takeaway# UT Assembly can undo adaptations and modifications made in state laws between Oct 31, 2019 to Oct 30, 2020. The biggest takeaway from the judgement is that adaptations and modifications carried out in State laws from October 31, 2019 to October 30, 2020 under the J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, can be undone by the Legislative Assembly of the Union Territory of J&K. The Court has made it clear that these laws do not become Central laws merely because they were adapted by an order of the Central Government under Section 96 of the Reorganization Act. The attempt by J&K Government was to save the legislation by projecting it as a Central enactment. The argument was that since State enactments were saved, adopted and adapted by the J&K Reorganization Act,they attain the character of Central laws.

This law was brainchild of Taj Mohiuddin- then PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Minister.

Gets prized Finance & Mining departments in addition to Agriculture Production Department already held by him. 2. Surinder Choudhary - RETAINS BUT WEAKENED: Managed to retain the lucrative Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department despite severe criticism over his handling. But loses the key Mining Department to Javid Dar - a cut in his clout. 3. Sakina Masood - RETAINS TRUST - Retains significant portfolios of Health & Medical Education and Social Welfare. Continues to be one of the most trusted ministers in the cabinet. 4. Ali Muhammad Sagar - THE RETURN WITH POWER: The veteran gets key portfolios of Power Development Department (PDD) along with Revenue, Law and DMRRR. 5. Shamima Firdous - SIGNIFICANT GAIN: Gets key departments of Jal Shakti & School Education plus Higher Education. 6. Altaf Kaloo - KEY DEPARTMENTS: Gets crucial Rural Development & Forest Departments - two departments with huge grassroots impact. 7. Javed Rana - THE BIGGEST LOSER: Literally downgraded. All eyes are on whether Deputy CM would lose key portfolios of R&B and Mining Department ? Would @OmarAbdullah relieve him of these portfolios in line with June 03 Dachigam consensus ?

Madam, with due respect, you need to understand the issue first before blaming @JKNC. The problem lies with two of the three conditions prescribed under the asset criteria fixed in 2019 when the political leadership was in jail. This issue concerns all Kashmiris. It can be addressed through a cabinet decision. The biggest disservice to Kashmiris would be taking this matter to court.The opposition should build pressure on the Government to change the criteria rather than indulging in activities which would harm the cause of Kashmiris. The Speaker has already directed the Government to constitute a committee on the matter after MLA Handwara highlighted the issue through a calling attention motion. Let us wait for Govt action on Speaker's direction.
