i'm glad you asked. this is entirely my own investment. i haven't received any government support or incentives, and i won't be eligible for any for this amount either. hopefully, i'll be able to get some in the future. but there's a whole process involved, and you don't know whether you'll qualify when you're spending the money. you could end up spending it all and getting nothing back. if i do qualify, i could get up to 70% of my ad spend reimbursed, but only 6–8 months later. and keep in mind, inflation in turkey is over 50%. i won't lie, i'd be very happy if i could benefit from this one day. but things aren't quite as rosy as they might seem.

so far in 2026, i've spent $53K on apple ads. it worked really well for the first 6 months, but my profit margins have dropped significantly over the last 2–3 months. i've started digging into it a bit.

built my first app that i'll sell outside the app store and play store. there's just one problem: users need to bring their own llm api key. normal users won't know how to do that, and the ones who do could probably build the app themselves. looks like i picked the wrong app idea again :d

i've decided to focus on building a brand around my flagship app. i've already ported it to swift, and now i'm porting it to android. i've also changed the app's name to a branded one. next, i'll start running social media ads to build brand awareness. the only thing i'm unsure about is trademark registration in the us. no idea how that works yet.
