Where are all of the VTubers who HATE uploading their VODs manually after stream? We got you!

Yo Chicago friends, my buddy @BigRigCreates is looking for a filming location to Pokémon battle with MoxieBoosted in his next YouTube video. If anyone in the area knows some card shop owners or restaurants that would be open to filming let me know!

I made a small chatbot for @itsmisasoup's discord server. no LLM AI involved, just the old fashioned way. The hardest part was getting it to act like Misa but with some scraping of her socials this was easy. It's like her but more unhinged and without a lot of context of chat.

Be honest, @Twitch streamers. Did you make a @YouTube #VOD channel, upload consistently for two weeks, then quietly give up? Fair. Keep streaming. Upcastor can handle the boring part.

PSA on the Twitch Enhanced Viewer / JeetBot mess: Seeing a lot of: "Be careful where you log in" or "Don’t authorize random Twitch apps" That’s very good advice! But that’s not what happened here. Quick context 🧵

A relatively popular Twitch Browser Extension exposed 30,000 users' OAuth tokens to a Russian bot service. According to Socket's Threat Research Team, users downloaded it as it promised to block Twitch ads, force 1080p, and auto-collect channel points. Users: Remove the extension from Chrome/Firefox, then disconnect all sessions and reauthenticate. More details linked below.

This wasn't a legitimate extension that got its OAuth implementation slightly wrong. The versions analysed by Socket seems to be actively extracting Twitch session tokens and sending them to infrastructure controlled by the extension operator.

We'll do a separate post on how Twitch OAuth, scopes and tokens actually work later.

"I'll just change one thing before stream" historically, nothing good has ever followed this sentence.

Twitch is testing an AI Stream Coach. Stream Coach will give you personalized feedback after every stream on what you did well and what you can improve. It will also recommend ways to better engage your community, learn Twitch culture, and use monetization tools.

Upcastor now survives short Twitch disconnects. Tiny network hiccup? Fine. Twitch having a moment? Fine. Actual apocalypse? We’re still testing that. #Streaming #Twitch

Kick letting you permanently preserve 5 VODs is good. “Which streams should I save forever?” is a much nicer problem than “where the fuck did my VOD go?” #KickStreaming #VOD
