BREAKING: US federal debt surged +$422 billion in October, to a record $40.6 trillion. Since July 1st alone, US federal debt has soared +$1.2 trillion, averaging +$300 billion per month. This is equivalent to an increase of ~$10 billion per day. As a result, the US total public Debt-to-GDP ratio is up to 123%, the highest since the 2020 pandemic peak. Meanwhile, the Treasury borrowed a record $839 billion through auctions of Treasury bills and notes last week, with the majority going toward repaying holders of maturing bills. This surpassed the previous all-time high of $834 billion set during the same period in 2025. The US debt crisis is in full-swing.

A truly wonderful article that shows exactly why the defense of any central bank is the road to economic disaster. Beware of academic economists. Their profession is paid for by the very central banks yhat they should criticize. A dog doesn't bite the hand that feeds it.

Polish MEP Dominik Tarczyński is explaining what is happening right now at Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, calling it nothing less than a COUP D’ÉTAT! “In Poland, we have a liberal-left government led by Donald Tusk, who is the Prime Minister. What is happening right now with the Constitutional Tribunal is that they want to take it over and fill it with their own people. Why? Because they want to get rid of the Polish currency, bring us into the eurozone, and eliminate our secure borders. They are being pushed by the Germans, who want to spread the burden of illegal migration and send migrants to Poland. First of all, the Polish złoty is our constitutionally protected currency. They have to change the Constitution to replace it, and without the Constitutional Tribunal, they cannot do that. So, number one, they want to get rid of our currency and force us to adopt the euro and join the eurozone. Then they want to take our gold reserves, the largest in the European Union, to Frankfurt, to the European Central Bank, which is a German-based institution. They also want to open our borders. And they want to make sure that when they lose the next elections, which are coming next year, the Constitutional Tribunal will be unable to do anything to stop their actions or reverse what they have done. There are many more reasons, but I want you to understand one thing: they are under German influence. They are globalists, and we are fighting not just for Poland, but for Europe. Be like Poland. Be strong. Our nation is strong, and we are going to win this fight!”

Christine! Thank you for everything you have done for Europe and the euro. From the pandemic to Russia’s war of aggression, your steady hand has helped keep our economy stable and resilient. You have championed deeper financial integration at home. And on the world’s stage, you embody what every currency needs: trust and authority. That's how you strengthened Europe's economic sovereignty and reinforced the international role of the euro, which was so important to you. The world needs more leaders like you. And I hope many more women will follow in your footsteps. @Lagarde

I have just informed my colleagues that I will step down as @ECB President on 7 February 2027. It has been a source of great pride to serve this institution. I thank all of those who have supported me on this journey over the past seven years.

I agree with this analysis
GOLD🥇 The critical and most important movements for gold are around its primary trendline. Strengthening bonds and a rising US Dollar Index are traditionally a wet blanket for the precious metal. However, the other and more significant risk for gold is an outright market deleveraging event, where the most liquid assets are sold off first and questions are asked later. I have two scenarios for gold, both of which lead to much higher levels in the year, years ahead, though the risks mentioned above remain a major hurdle. The Consolidation Scenario: If the price can hold the $4,000 level and drift either slightly lower or sideways hugging the primary trendline without breaking decisively below it then it is likely to build a base and head higher over time. The Yield-dollar Driven Downside Scenario: If yields and the dollar index continue to rise, we are likely to see lower lows until a major level of structural support is reached(3400). Only after finding that floor will gold move much higher, likely sometime in 2027 or 2028. In my opinion, there is plenty of time; a solid base needs to be established first. There is absolutely no rush, as market volatility and macro uncertainty are set to pick up significantly in the short term. Nevertheless, over the long term, gold is likely heading toward $10,000, if not higher. Yours truly, The Great Martis💫

The Great Inflation era that began in 1965 was driven by heavy stimulus, massive monetary expansion, flawed economic theories and War( 70s). Six decades later, we find ourselves in a strikingly similar predicament: aggressive stimulus, loose monetary policies, and now, disruptive warfare that has caused significant drawdowns in strategic reserves and record-high pump prices..mirroring the 1970s oil embargo that sparked the subsequent stagflationary era. Right now, there is a significant chance we are heading into a severe inflationary cycle that could wreak havoc on equities, Main Street, and global stability. This time around, it will not be an easy fix. Back then, global economic balance sheets were much healthier. Today, we face a deteriorating economic outlook burdened by unprecedented debt levels. Below, I have charted today's Dow Jones and 10-Year Gov. Bond yield against the Great Inflation era of the 1960s, and the technical indicators look chillingly similar. Interesting times ahead. Brace for significant volatility moving forward. Stay safe, disciplined, and most of all, informed. The Great Martis.✨

Modern monetary theory is merely old-world chartalism repackaged to legitimize infinite deficit expansion. Bitcoin proves the Austrian school: genuine value flows from scarcity, utility, and voluntary market choice.

🚨 Google lost power in London this morning and Revolut, a bank with 80 million customers, went down with it. I've spent the morning reading what Revolut users went through. It's wild. People stranded at petrol stations, unable to pay for fuel or a taxi to the airport. One traveller couldn't get out of a train station in Japan. A 71-year-old woman stood at a supermarket till for an hour. Her kid had to drive 30km to bring her cash. Card payments, transfers, ATM withdrawals, currency exchange, share trading. All down. Revolut's statement said "all our customers' money and data are safe." Safe. You just can't touch it. Google's explanation so far is a "power event" in one zone of its London cloud region. Its advice to affected customers was to move their workloads to another zone or region "if feasible." Must be nice. Revolut customers couldn't even move £10. In July the UK government put Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft and Oracle under direct Bank of England oversight, because one outage at any of them could shake the entire financial system. 12 days ago the Bank of England ran a drill with the UK's 38 biggest banks and market operators. The scenario they practised was a global cloud outage. And exactly one year ago today, AWS went down and took Lloyds and Halifax with it. Same date. Different cloud. Lloyds was having problems again this morning. Revolut spent five years earning a UK banking licence. Bitcoin has been running for almost 18 years. It doesn't have a London region.
