The replies are more telling than the post itself. My take? Probably unpopular but I think we dont need a PM for everything that is shipped. Same for design and engineering. AI will blend the roles so much that having a Product Trio on every problem will be a luxury.

PM is a role that mostly shouldn’t exist. It’s an example of what I call a “horizontal layer.” Many understand that reducing vertical layers is important, but it’s equally important to reduce horizontal layers, meaning reducing the number of roles required to get a thing done.
