In mid-September, Stefan Kastner, owner of the Waldgasthof Buchenhain restaurant (15 kilometers south of Munich), told BILD: "If Harry Kane wins the Ballon d’Or, I’ll give him a golden schnitzel"
Yesterday, it actually happened - Less than 24 hours after Kane won the Ballon d'Or, Kastner drove to the nearby villa of the Englishman and delivered four veal Wiener schnitzels, decorated with edible gold leaf flakes and shimmering gold spray.
Kastner, a die-hard Bayern fan, has been treating Kane to a schnitzel for every competitive goal he scores for the club for about two years now. Kane himself said about that: "Of course I don't always eat all the schnitzels myself. But everyone is happy about it, and I enjoy them very much too."
