Something that changed as I got older and gained experience with death: I find myself more open to plainly stated expressions of neediness. I use to bristle when loved ones directly asked me for attention but now I'm much more receptive to "I need a friend right now." So many seek attention through manipulation, lying, and aggression and I want to reward someone kindly and sincerely asking me to be there for them without resorting to mean tricks

I don't care what people say, I like Tom Cruise. He works his ass off and never ever quits. He's one of the few true movie stars.

i have always loved hans haacke's condensation cube (1963-5). sweating from the inside, dependent on the gallery temperature, humidity, and visitors' bodies. love the idea of being hyper sensitive to one's environment, completely transparent, and totally unknowable. express less

These Joan Didion wannabes need to take a page from her book. Stop telling us your philosophy in abstract language. Tell us what you see in the world and make us come to the same conclusion that you did.
"People have become incapable of in-betweens." Okay... then prove it.
