Kumbe the affordable housing that Ruto launched in Eldoret ilikuwa AI photos 🤣😂😂
It’s incomplete even the swimming pool. No wonder he launched it at night na akacheza na AI.

KENYA’S HEALTHCARE HAS GONE TO THE GUTTERS! 🏥🇰🇪
When did healthcare become more about squeezing money from patients than saving human lives?
On Sunday, my younger sister fell critically ill. We rushed her to a nearby clinic, where tests revealed severe anaemia — Hb 6.17 g/dL!
She needed urgent hospital treatment and possible blood transfusion.
We rushed her to MP Shah Hospital, Nairobi.
The hospital confirmed the diagnosis, requested KSh 60,000 upfront for admission, and informed us that blood was available following a recent donation campaign.
I PAID IMMEDIATELY!
By 5 AM, she was admitted. We were told she needed two units of blood.
BY 2 PM, NO TRANSFUSION HAD BEEN DONE!
My family spent the morning desperately seeking updates.
“Oooh, further tests.”
“Oooh, we are still checking.”
When we finally demanded a transfer, THREE doctors suddenly appeared, warning about kidney failure, cardiac complications and other risks.
My question: WHERE WAS THAT SAME URGENCY BETWEEN 6 AM AND 2 PM?
Meanwhile, the bill had climbed to approximately KSh 88,000!
I did my biashara maths. 😂 Another two or three days of mounting charges could easily have pushed the bill towards KSh 300,000!
Remember, we were CASH-PAYING PATIENTS!
We even disputed charges relating to blood preparation when the actual transfusion had not happened.
We paid and demanded our laboratory results.
“Send an email and wait 24 hours.”
WHAT? 🤦🏽♂️
After challenging that requirement, the results were emailed immediately!
We transferred her to Kwa N’gothi, a Catholic-operated healthcare facility in North Kinangop.
Another shock!
MP Shah had apparently not completed her discharge in the system, delaying admission at the receiving facility.
Despite that administrative delay and difficulties securing venous access, Kwa N’gothi began the blood transfusion process within approximately THREE HOURS of arrival!
THE CONTRAST WAS STARK!
One facility: hours of waiting, escalating charges and poor communication.
Another: prompt attention and action despite the challenges.
I also came across reports that SHA had previously suspended MP Shah over alleged billing irregularities. Those allegations deserve proper investigation, just as our family’s experience deserves clear answers.
A BIG HOSPITAL NAME DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN BETTER HEALTHCARE!
A patient is NOT a walking ATM!
A hospital bed is NOT a hotel room!
And a critically ill patient should NEVER become an opportunity to maximise revenue!
We live in the AI AGE 🤖. Patients can now better understand laboratory results, ask informed questions and scrutinise hospital bills. AI cannot replace doctors, but information should no longer be treated as a privilege!
Kenya needs a national conversation about healthcare.
We can build roads, stadiums and airports, but what good is that development if our people cannot access timely, affordable and dignified healthcare?
REBUILD OUR PUBLIC HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS!
Private healthcare has a role, but human life must ALWAYS come before commercial interests.
MP Shah Hospital owes our family an explanation.
🇰🇪 HEALTH IS WEALTH! PUT HUMAN LIFE BEFORE PROFITS!
