This is my DNA I guarantee the vast majority of white UK population will be similar & we do not face racism prejudice because of the color of our skin other minorities do and the reality is some are probably more British than many of us. #OneRaceHuman racism a tool to divide us

The Tories committed an act of vandalism to Britain's economy. Labour's job is to fix it. That means spreading money and power out of Westminster, into every postcode of this country.

Burnham bringing significant attention to Stand Up To Cancer, a charity that has helped raise $825 million globally for cancer charities, while highlighting the plight of literally millions of families forced to live through this, by spending a few hours where he lives with a camera crew. And all the disingenuous grifters and haters out there can come up with is: โ€œWhy is he on TV instead of solving all the UKโ€™s problems?โ€ The problems he inherited. Apparently, raising awareness for cancer charities for a couple of hours is only acceptable if you can simultaneously fix the economy, the NHS, housing, crime and every other problem in Britain. Those few hours probably helped raise millions. The manufactured outrage is pathetic.

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

I want to be honest about how weโ€™ve got to a place where British billpayers are paying some of the highest energy costs in Europe. Over the past 40 years, weโ€™ve given up control of our necessities, outsourced our essentials and privatised the basics. Water, transport, housing. And of course, energy. Now the public are paying the price. We havenโ€™t invested in the infrastructure we need. Conflict overseas has pushed up energy costs and itโ€™s hurting our businesses and families. Thatโ€™s why we need to take back greater control of our energy system. This week, I announced Great British Grid, which will speed up connections and push down bills. Weโ€™re also giving mayors, local leaders and communities a stronger role. With funding for Peopleโ€™s Power projects, communities will be able to build solar panels on libraries and town halls, hydro schemes in rivers or publicly owned windfarms on local land. But itโ€™s not just energy we need stronger public control over. Itโ€™s also water, housing, transport and care. So weโ€™re repealing the ban on public ownership of water companies. Weโ€™re building more council homes than this country has seen since the end of World War Two. Weโ€™re reforming the leasehold system so families arenโ€™t squeezed for every penny. And weโ€™re opening up home ownership for first time buyers who canโ€™t rely on the bank of mum and dad. This week I also announced my determination to introduce a National Care Service, to put people above profit and to give pensioners peace of mind. Together, weโ€™ll rewire the country from top to bottom so that it works for all people in all places. That is the only way to put Britain back on the right path. Itโ€™s the only way to put power back in peopleโ€™s hands. And itโ€™s the only way we will bring hope again.

Enough is enough. For years, people have been expected to put up with Avantiโ€™s cancellations, delays, overcrowding, and a service that has failed them time and time again. So my Labour government is bringing Avanti West Coast into public ownership at the earliest opportunity in March next year. That means passengers, not shareholders, will come first. More investment, fewer delays, and a renewed focus on getting the basics right. We're putting essential services back in public hands and building a railway that actually works for the people who use it.

In a difficult and dangerous world, a decade on from Brexit, there is a risk that Britain loses the confidence to lead and stand up for its values. Iโ€™m not prepared to let that happen. It is more important than ever that Britain stands for something. We have called for years for a two-state solution in the Middle East, but we must recognise that those words are meaningless unless we back them up with action. For too long, we have been hesitant to act, fearful of being accused of being anti-Israel. Today we are announcing carefully judged, targeted steps that are not aimed at the Israeli people, but at the unacceptable policies of the current Israeli government. The suffering of the Palestinian people is a scar on the conscience of the world. Innocent Palestinians, including children, continue to be killed in Gaza. And there is still a humanitarian crisis, with far too little aid getting in. The scale of destruction is hard to comprehend. More than 70,000 people lie dead - at least 20,000 of them children. Families and communities have been torn apart. Millions displaced. And the population of Gaza is now penned into just one third of the territory. I know that people across the UK feel very deeply about this issue - and so do I. Before I became Prime Minister, I said our countryโ€™s response had been too slow and simply not good enough. Thatโ€™s why I committed to changing the governmentโ€™s approach. I will not stand by as the horrific suffering continues to grow and the prospect of a two-state solution - the best hope for peace and stability in the region - comes under attack. More settlements have been approved under the four years of this Israeli government than in the previous 20 years. The UN has reported more than 1,500 incidents of settler violence so far this year, aimed at driving out Palestinians. And the situation is growing worse, fast. The Israeli government has now approved 104 new settlements since it took office in December 2022, and ahead of the October elections in Israel, it is allowing tenders for the construction of the E1 mega settlement to go ahead. This would cut a swathe through the heart of the West Bank - snuffing out the hope of realising a two-state solution. It cannot be allowed to happen. Thatโ€™s why we are announcing a new package of tough measures to put pressure on the Israeli government: First, we will ban the trade in goods with illegal settlements in Palestine. Second, we have formally changed the view of the British government to say for the first time that the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory is unlawful - independent of, but in line with, the conclusion of the international court of justice. And third, we will sanction individuals and companies that support, facilitate or profit from illegal settlements. That includes any businesses or investors that take part in the construction of the E1 settlement. In addition, we are announcing a new package of desperately needed humanitarian aid to Gaza. We are taking these steps because it is the right thing to do. I have condemned the monstrous terrorist attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 in the strongest possible terms - and continue to condemn Hamas. However, it does not justify the Israeli governmentโ€™s actions in Gaza or the West Bank. The measures we are taking are about targeting illegal settlements and increasing the pressure on the Israeli government to change course. We are not imposing sanctions on Israel as a whole, which would punish the Israeli people, many of whom disagree with their governmentโ€™s position. The Israeli people are not responsible for the actions of their government. And nor is the Jewish community in the UK. Blaming British Jews for the actions of Benjamin Netanyahuโ€™s government is wrong, plain and simple. And it is antisemitism, plain and simple. I met the representatives of the Jewish community just last week. I know the fear they live with day by day. My government will stop at nothing to ensure they are safe and to stamp out antisemitism in every part of our society. The measures we are announcing today are about protecting the only solution that could see the Israeli and Palestinian people living side by side in peace and security - something that people up and down the UK desperately want to see. The government I lead will keep working with our partners around the world to keep that hope alive.

I didnโ€™t become Prime Minister to just make a few tweaks around the edges. I want to change the way this country works. For too long, politics became comfortable with the idea that some things just can't be fixed. People sleeping on our streets. Huge inequalities between different parts of the country. Young people unable to afford a home. Communities watching decisions about their future being taken somewhere else, by someone else. Governments have talked about those things. They've even promised to fix them. But too often, they've reached the same conclusion: it just can't be done. I don't accept that, and I never have. Thatโ€™s why weโ€™ve invested to offer everyone who needs it a route off the streets by Christmas. It's why we've announced the biggest council housebuilding programme since the Second World War. It's why we're opening 159 new mental health centres. It's why we've finally put technical education on par with the academic route. It's why we're delivering the biggest transfer of power out of Westminster and into local communities in a generation. And it's why we opened No10 North too. Not as another government office. But because I believe one thing very strongly: Britain won't be rebuilt from the top down. You have to put power back in the hands of the people and places that know their communities best - and then put the full weight of government behind them. I also want to give people a bit of breathing space too. That's why we've cut tax on electricity bills, capped bus fares at ยฃ2, and made subscriptions easier to cancel. Itโ€™s why we've cracked down on fake discounts and cut business rates for pubs, social clubs and music venues. And it's why we've extended the 16-17 Saver Railcard and introduced free 24/7 bus travel for disabled people. That is the change we have started. More power for our communities, more support on the cost of living and a long-term plan to rebuild the country. Each one of those changes is part of the same thing. Good growth in every postcode. Reindustrialising Britain. And making sure wherever you live - and whatever your background - you feel this country has a future for you. Because, in the end, that's what this is about: bringing back hope.
