I think I’m one of many people who was quite fond of the initial premise, but bailed when Kevin James types started showing up with their AirPods to promote Paul Blart VII: Still Blartin’.
The ManningCast audience continues to decline. At some point, it's not sustainable. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

Last year when I voted -- a guy was in line with a shirt that had an American Flag on it. The lady pollster refused to give him ballot-- he remained civil.. we were all telling her to let him vote. She kept saying something about 'Trump'. 😳
She refused. Just staring. So- finally Bexar County Sheriffs came out-- and told the lady he could vote. We had stayed there until the cops came and she was just staring at us all defiantly. It was otherworldly. She associated the flag with Trump and would have never relented. She was a miserable, homely radical. He was actually very calm and laughing. She held up the lines in her delusion

I just had an insane conversation with a guy who moved from California to McKinney, TX because it’s so much cheaper, but is voting Democrat because he wants Texas to have California style public transportation.

Today we have stepped up from “you’re still salty” to:
“You were never really that good at QB (I disagree), definitely no where close to Aaron (I can agree), and you don’t belong in HOF (I understand the argument)… so you are an idiot of an analyst!”
Haha, reminds of when I was 12 and got in a debate & the person had nothing of substance to say, so response was, “Well, you’re just stupid!”

i really really need you guys to know the overwhelming appreciation we have for doing this whole thing with you.
what started as a special experience for my dad and me has turned into something so much bigger because of all of you. knowing that some of you arent even baseball fans but tuned in just to celebrate alongside us has made this journey unbelievably meaningful.
we’ve been so overwhelmed by the love that i haven’t even had time to properly thank everyone. seeing so many people, including complete strangers, celebrate my dad’s happiness as their own has been such a beautiful reminder of the impact he has on people.
thank you for making my dad feel as loved as he’s always made everyone around him feel.

There's something called the detachment paradox.
The more you try, the more you fail. The less you care, the better you do.
It shows up all over corporate America, but especially in interviews.
Work yourself up enough and you psych yourself out. Care a little less and you're more relaxed, which is usually when you actually perform.
I saw it with a software engineer I worked with where he failed 3 interviews in a row. He was sharp when I screened him, but froze in front of the hiring managers.
I received the same feedback on him every time: jittery, blanked, couldn't get there when it counted.
He wasn't missing skills, he wanted each job so badly the pressure was eating the answers. I told him to stop caring so much. Not stop preparing, but to stop treating that one hour like his career hung on it. He already had a job.
Fourth interview, he got the offer.

bill burr roasted me at a show about 20 years ago in seattle.
i corrected him on his characterization of the monorail.
he repeated my comment back in a mincing voice and said “what did you, design the thing? are you the monorail architect?”

I think there can be a balance. I’m just disappointed in the Cardinals fans on here that were openly rooting for the Brewers even going back to the NLCS. I don’t care that it was the Dodgers, you don’t openly root for division rivals.

Michael Jackson in 1983 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel. He had the whole top floor for himself. I accidentally got off on that floor. As I turned to go to the elevator he got off the elevator. It was just Micheal and his huge ass bodyguard. As he walked towards me he stopped and said, "Hi, I'm Micheal." It's a very long story so I'll be brief. We didn't shake hands or touch at all. We had a brief discussion about dance, in particular about Fred Astaire. I was a professional dancer then. Just 2 guys discussing dance movement. When he said goodbye he hesitated for a moment and said, " Thanks for treating me like a normal person." True story. It was nothing like I would have expected.

I don’t get how it’s not okay to say all Muslims are evil but it’s okay to say all Jews are evil? Bigotry makes zero sense.

At several of the churches I’ve been in it’s tough to get men to lead or show up to Bible studies/house churches, altar serve, or do other basic ministry things
The men online who say the church is “too feminine” are usually the ones allowing it to be

Libertarians are not fighting the left hard enough. The right wants to make your avocados more expensive. The left wants you dead.
At @UTSA for Pick Up the Mic, a student read a poem celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk with such glee, then told me I was brave to be out here without my neck covered.
I told her I’d pray for her.
This is the climate. We pick up the mic anyway.
