Big news y’all:
I joined a stealth company to help lead Product 🤐
The team includes many of my favorite colleagues from throughout my career: my best friend and co-founder of Bitfract, my former boss at @ShapeShift (plus several other ex-foxes), and two of my co-founders from @thenounspace. The rest of the team is stacked too.
Eager to share the product and vision, but for now I’ll just say we’re building something novel at the intersection of AI, institutional finance, and onchain 🔜
Will ofc miss working with the amazing team at @AskVenice, which also happens to include some of my favorite humans, but couldn't be more proud of what we accomplished together (growing users from <2M to >4M, growing ARR to over $100M, and achieving official unicorn status with a $65M Series A). I have no doubt the team will continue flourishing, just as they did before I joined, and I'll forever be cheering them on from the sidelines.
Upward and onward 🚀

Such a cool role, get in contact if you think you would be a great fit for this.

Big news! We just integrated @VeniceAI
Private AI on hardware you own. Jail broken and unrestricted use of ambient intelligence. Build abilities that live in the room and respond to real life, not prompts.

Access granted! Can confirm Jev is legit.
Used it in a POC, and it just worked. Now the eng team is mapping out where to swap or complement traditional LLMs with swift, structured decisions.
Will share more details once we have them, but Jevons paradox is in full effect 🦾
With each example that pops up on my feed of Jev outperforming LLMs by orders of magnitude, my FOMO level increases.
Patiently waiting for access so we can test it out for some of our use cases 🙏
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

Note to self: throw more spaghetti 🍝
Post shit. Talk to the world. Don't overthink it.
Friends... it's not about your first post, or your third post, or your 90th post. It's about posting every day until the content that works works, and then you double down on it, while still trying new, creative things. And you keep improving and getting better.
It's a forever game. Just try, just DO.

Private agents run on Venice.
300+ models across all modalities, search and scrape the web, embeddings, and much more. All from a single API.

I loved POAP.
Still have a huge collection, which is essentially a vault of memories of places I visited during conferencing and people I met.
I also created POAPs for people that met me and they all told me how much it meant to them to have these different mementos of each of our interactions.
A pity to see this all wind down.
Now for some hard truths. PMF in crypto is hard. Not only because companies don't think of it early enough. But you are dealing with an extractive user base that wants everything for free. Will rebel at the slightest suggestion of a fee and when you shut down will wonder why is everyone leaving crypto.
Users in crypto at some point even wanted to be paid to use stuff 😂
I respect the POAP team for what they built and the memories they created for me and my friends are priceless.
Thank you POAP.
After 5+ years, we're winding down POAP.
Over the years, we:
* minted millions of collectibles across hundreds of communities.
* did incredible collaborations with world-class organizations - Coinbase, Amex, WMG, Bayer, and a long tail of others, including countless in crypto.
* ran one of the biggest activations at Devcon, minting 8000+ collectibles over the course of a week.
* built an Airport Rally to let collectors get POAPs at airports around the world.
POAP meant something to a lot of people.
Unfortunately, crypto's funding cycles and distribution dynamics made it hard to build a sustainable company without cannibalizing the ethos that made POAP mean something. Building on a fragile and quickly evolving stack, in the middle of an incredible hype cycle, only added to the challenges.
Still, there are some big lessons I am carrying from the POAP story.
First: Customer communities are the most undervalued asset a company can have. If you build something with soul, people who use it and love it will take your brand everywhere. Do not underestimate the power of customer communities.
Second: Connection is still the point. It's easy to lose that thread when the conversation is about the latest bubbly tech or price speculation, but the people using POAPs at events, in classrooms, at hackathons were getting something real out of it.
Third: Longevity and brand equity are the only moats left. With the time to building and shipping something new collapsing quickly, and distribution becoming increasingly an engineering problem, customers increasingly want to make sure they can trust that the things they are buying will grow and evolve with the market, without changing radically.
Grateful for everyone who believed in what we were building. It's too soon for me to say what's next, but for now, I'm thinking a lot about what GTM looks like in the age of AI.
We heard y'all like tokenized inference, so we increased the target DIEM supply to 38.5k.
This is the first of four bi-weekly increases of 500 DIEM, culminating in a target supply of 40k on September 14th.
ICYMI, base:0xf4d97f2da56e8c3098f3a8d538db630a2606a024 is tokenized inference. Stake and lock base:0xacfe6019ed1a7dc6f7b508c02d1b04ec88cc21bf to mint it.
The target DIEM supply has been increased to 38,500.
• More space for DIEM to be minted at better rates.
• Unlocks more DIEM capacity per VVV token.

The $DIEM target supply is increasing from 38,000 to 40,000 over Aug 3rd to Sept 14th
IMO, this is the one of the most interesting aspects of Venice - $DIEM and $VVV monetary policy
It feels like early MakerDAO, where a team learned in real-time to manage and grow an onchain economy
By lowering the cost of minting $DIEM, more $DIEM will flow into the economy, stimulating the ecosystem building on and around tokenized inference.
The higher the market cap of $DIEM, the more obvious the rational around $VVV becomes
Majority of my tweets are RTs of new model release 😅 gotta ramp up the creativity to keep up
