I'm not too sure how the Anderson era is going to go long term but I do appreciate that he (usually --- the Tulane game being a glaring exception) coaches to win. Huff definitely punts there.
South Carolina is the one Deep South state that hasn't elected a statewide Democrat in the post-2008 era but it's probably the best chance for a non-Georgia state in the region to flip.
Tulane is going to go 7-5 with a negative point differential and a SP+ around 100 and because Mississippi goons are way overrepresented in the agent/media industry of CFB the line will be "SEE! Will Hall is awesome. Southern held him back. Those dirty poors."
This is why I still feel reasonably good about Rangers winning the league.
2 of the remaining 3 Old Firm games are at home. Let's say you net 3 points in those. Then you just need to net 2 (maybe 1 if GD improves) points over the remaining 24 matches with an easier schedule.
The ACC not doing SEC-style permanent opponents is baffling. NC State/UNC, Miami/FSU, VT/UVA all not playing. That shouldn't be happening.

It was so much fun and such an honor to be included in this amazing tribute to the @SouthernMissBSB community! (And thanks for inviting me into your genius creative process @RossWhiteUSM!) #SMTTT #LetsPlayBall 💛⚾️🖤
Feels like tonight is a potentially season-shifting match for Rangers. Hearts have been dominant at home and Tynecastle is going to be a snakepit with McInnes returning (though Devlin and Shankland being out may tamp it down some).
Hearts under Bloom/Jamestown might be positioned to be sort of a dollar store Atlético Madrid in Scotland where they could threaten Old Firm hegemony occasionally. Financial gap between them and the Old Firm is greater than Atlético Madrid and Real/Barcelona though.
If you're a G6/FCS/non-football school with reasonably warm weather, you should be sinking at least some money into baseball. Football and basketball (maybe with guardrails some parity will return) are cooked in terms of national aspirations for schools like ours.
Football best case you lose by 50,000 in the playoff and have your coach/players all taken. Basketball was fun for years but the portal created 40 superteams which eliminates upsets. Baseball (for now at least) you can have hope that you can make a deep run as a small school.
The cynical USM fan part of me feels like we're about a decade late on this and the SEC is just going to pull the rip cord out from college baseball like they've done in football and basketball before we ever play a game at new PTP.
The renderings are incredible though.
