Johns Hopkins researchers found persistent brain inflammation and memory loss in female mice after COVID, driven by increased TLR7 signaling. Blocking TLR7 prevented these effects, revealing a potential Long COVID treatment target. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Zelenskyy: I offered the US three options if they want us to stop hitting Russian refineries: 1. Russia stops attacking our energy. 2. Open Starlink over Russian ballistic missile launch sites. 3. Give us Patriot missiles. We got none. Instead, Starlink was restricted.

Grateful to @NPR for the chance to talk about how stress and infections like COVID can stir dormant viruses in our bodies, and what that may mean for our immune system. Still much to learn, and I’m thankful to my team and colleagues for their work 🎧 npr.org/2026/10/23/nx-s1-598…

If I went to Russia, I would be jailed and held hostage as a POW for criticizing Russia. I went to Ukraine as a critic and the President of Ukriane invited me to his palace and allowed me to interview him. After I interviewed @ZelenskyyUa, Russian state media, which is controlled by Putin and the Kremlin, was calling for me to be assassinated and then they were retweeting IRGC propaganda videos that called for Islamic terrorists to shoot me in the head. Ukraine and Russia aren’t the same.

Ok, now you could go to Russia and verify what is happening there, problem both sides

This is how you can find hidden cameras (even the ones without lenses) with a few light flashes. Researchers came up with a surprisingly effective method they call Eye of Sauron. Just rapidly switch the lights in a room on and off. When the scene changes abruptly, a camera’s codec has to re-encode a lot of new data, which spikes electromagnetic emissions from its memory controller. If you sync the flashes with an EMI scanner, you can pick up this signature and locate the camera - even pinhole ones that only record to an SD card or stream over a cable. In their experiment with 50 different camera models, every single one was detected after just four scene changes. Some were found more than 20 meters away and even through walls. Detection range reached ~30 m for plastic-cased cameras and ~11 m for metal ones (far better than typical commercial detectors that only work at 1–2 meters). The whole scan took between 4 and 32 seconds depending on room size. The method nicely complements classic RF scanning and looking for lens reflections. They also used radio-astronomy filtering techniques to cut through the usual household noise (phones, routers, kettles, etc.).

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

Ukrainians were literally one of the few countries trying to help the USA in the Middle East when Trump launched his totally botched operation in Iran, despite being short on ammunition and in the middle of existential war for their own survival. The repost illustrates that, vividly. Trump not only never showed gratitude for this, but also denigrated them, claiming they weren’t required and even verbally rebuffed their help. The Arab states didn’t agree and welcomed their Ukrainian friends, who tried to protect oil and gas facilities across the Middle East from Iranian Shahed, which were augmented by Russian technology and experience in the Ukraine war. Russians have all reasons for having high energy prices. It literally fuels their war machine and gives them more breathing space, which they use not only to murder toddlers in strollers, but also US servicemen in the Middle East, through their Iranian allies. Those are the facts.
Three professional drone teams from Ukraine have arrived in the Middle East in order to support efforts to neutralize Iranian drones. The first 3 countries being supported are Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates. This has been confirmed by President Zelenskyy.

Was iPhone security broken just with Bluetooth? iPhone was always known for its high security, second only to GrapheneOS. But a leaked Cellebrite document might show they found a way to break their protection. The device is more vulnerable in AFU (After First Unlock) than in BFU (Before First Unlock). Cellebrite's "Advanced Unlock" allegedly has the capability to unlock devices in the AFU state. As a response to rising USB port protection, they answered with a method capable of bypassing encryption over the Bluetooth radio. No pairing, no user interaction. The Bluetooth attack sends an L2CAP packet to the target that hijacks the Bluetooth daemon and gains kernel-level control. What is interesting is that Apple patched this with the iPhone 17 and TOLD NO ONE. They implemented MIE (Memory Integrity Enforcement), which might also be proof that these alleged capabilities are real, and that devices older than the iPhone 17 are vulnerable to these attacks. GrapheneOS documentation states that this attack vector is known and won't work on up-to-date GrapheneOS devices. GrapheneOS will always be the safest option.

It isn't related. Google isn't going to stop banning GrapheneOS for the Play Integrity API device and strong integrity levels due to official support for it on a device. It isn't lack of official support or lack of green verified boot state which results in Google banning it.

‼️ UPDATE: A researcher says the Broadcom Wi-Fi router bug affects way more countries. The vulnerable code is also in ZTE's F680 v4, which ISPs from Spain to Vietnam, Egypt and Moldova offer. Three Movistar Spain routers appear affected. Broadcom still won't assign a CVE.

🚨 BREAKING: A Broadcom Wi-Fi bug lets anyone in range run code on routers without the password. Quentin Kaiser showed it on Proximus, Orange Belgium and VOO routers and estimates ~1.5M in Belgium are exposed, none patched. The bug dates to 2010. Broadcom won't assign a CVE.

I've had excessive sars-cov-2 specific T cell responses for 18 months now, along with CD8 exhaustion. My largest response is to N+M, which is the nucleocapsid and membrane, only from a real infection, not the vaccine. Hoping they get an actual biomarker soon, maybe even based on work like this, so we can all lock this in even if we can't treat it yet. Nice work @EJohnWherry and @markmpainter

"I wish it was just fatigue, that would be a walk in the park," she says. "It's so much more than that. If I thought of fatigue in my top 20 symptoms it might just make the cut." Instead, she says, it feels like her entire body "is shutting down; it feels like you are a few days from death". That's the part that's hard to convey. On bad days now those are days I would have gone to the hospital when I was normal because it really does feel that bad. But you sadly get used to it.

yes this is true, ukraine is out of rockets for the patriot.... BUT the next gen SAMP-t and IRIS-T are in ukraine filling the gap, and growing. the next gen systems from europe are just as good as the patriot PAC-2 and at about 1/4 the cost... notice no one is buying patriot right now that does not already have the system, while both euro systems are entering the chat.

Why is the US suddenly buying russian diesel(it wont lower the cost)? Why are all the anti-Ukraine voices in the West suddenly singing in unison? The answer is in the numbers. russia in 2026 vs. 2025 (Jan to Sep): Territorial gains: DOWN 72% Personnel losses: UP 2% Budget deficit: UP 49% russia is losing more men, capturing far less land, and running out of money faster. Russia cannot keep fighting this war forever at this cost. It needs Ukraine to lose, but it cannot defeat Ukraine on the battlefield. So now Russia needs Ukraine's Western partners to finish the job for it.
