Ironically, the first day, which initially looked weak, ended up being the best one. After that, the rewards only went downhill. It seems that allocation priorities were given to big influencers and well-connected figures. In some cases, boxes contained up to $400K worth of tokens, while many active testnet users and builders got next to nothing. For a project of this scale, such a cold attitude toward its real community was quite a surprise. Still, not everything is negative. The ecosystem around Monad is moving - for example, MonAI just launched the mint for its last shard, Resonance, giving active users another shot at OG status before mainnet. Meanwhile, Momentum wrapped up its deposit phase with an 1839% oversubscription, and final allocations and refunds are expected by the end of October. Some see this as another sign that token sales are shrinking, and that it’s almost impossible to profit now without going multi-active. Others still hope Monad might make it up to the community once mainnet launches. Either way, this whole case made one thing clear - even the loudest airdrops don’t always mean “life-changing” And the real builders, the ones who kept building, truly deserved more.
