Two takeaways from the past 24 hours:
1) "Country Over Party" was always a partisan cudgel meant to constrain Republicans while not applying whatsoever to Democrats.
2) The political left has a very real & very serious antisemitism problem.

Haley Stevens said no. She said no to her Democrat peers. She looked at her friends and colleagues in the eyes and she said no. Enough. This is dangerous. What you’re doing to Jews is completely unacceptable.
To all of you who didn’t do this, you know who you are. You watched Jews you know, who you’ve worked with, who you were friends with, who you loved, be pushed out of their own circles, be lied about and defamed, be psychologically tormented and erased, be bullied, tarred and feathered, be punished for doing nothing wrong. Why is @UMich silencing this? This woman assaulted me and @teameffujoe , resisted arrest, and threatened to KILL ME.
The fact that the police let her out of custody is absolutely insane to begin with. And now the fact @UMich as let her back onto campus. and is silencing people is unfathomable. She is a DANGER to students. She is someone who has been institutionalized and is on multiple SSRIs.
If I were a parent at this school, I would IMMEDIATELY remove my child.
When I went to the ER yesterday, I was told by the physician that assaults are very common on this campus.
This is an absolute disgrace.
So @UMich is allegedly hushing yesterdays assault. The perpetrator was let go, and no students apparently feel they’re not allowed to talk about it.

The Jewish girl attacked in this video is my friend @basedinmalibu Liz Benichou.
Liz is physically tiny, not threatening to anyone. When the Abdul supporter got in her face, all Liz did was ask “what would happen to her if she walked around Iran like that?”
In response, the Abdul supporter pushed her with all her strength, sent her flying, then resisted arrest, and while being arrested screamed “I should have killed you when I had the chance!”
The correct answer to what would happen to the Abdul supporter if she walked around Iran like that is that she would be beaten, severely.
The Left and Islam are a match made in heaven.
All Americans must reject them, peacefully at the ballot box while we still have the chance.

Rep. Haley Stevens’ mother, Maria Marcotte, said she supported Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers before her daughter endorsed him and denounced claims that anyone encouraged Stevens to support Rogers.
“Haley is her own woman. She always has been. Suggesting a man made her decision for her is insulting to her, and it is insulting to me as her mother,” Marcotte said in a statement to CNN. Stevens’ fiancé, Jason Turkish, previously endorsed Rogers.
“I voted for Mike Rogers before Haley said a word, and so did many people who love her. We watched what she went through this year. Haley wasn’t even engaged when she was screamed off her own convention stage. It was Haley who was chased out of a park and called a Zionist pig. It was Haley who was told not to come to church,” she said.

She was saying goodbye, because she knew her close friends would disconnect from her like Scientologists. This is what taking a stand against antisemitism costs in the Hasan Piker/Abdul El-Sayed Democratic Party.
This is terribly sad. I trust Gov. Blanchard. What he's describing sounds like emotional abuse/manipulation. I'm going to try to keep my venting re: Stevens to a minimum.
I might say some things, but I hope we can minimize pile-ons. This whole situation is politically toxic & if this is true, it's personally toxic too. The detail about Stevens texting Blanchard and Clyburn is heart-breaking.

Multiple roommates. Ramen noodles. Near public transportation. Respect to the people who do whatever it takes.
I worked as a bartender. Bar-back. $2.15 an hr plus whatever tips got shared. Worked at a retail store. Never had benefits at any job.
Had 5 roommates in a 3 br apt. Ate lousy food out of cans and ate a ton of peanuts and shit food at happy hour. Had credit cards ripped up. Etc.
But I learned a ton. Taught me what was right and wrong about running a business by watching my bosses and their bosses
Yeah I know. It was much easier then, when inflation was 15 pct and national unemployment was 10 %. I know I was fortunate when I finally got fired from the store, and had to start my own business with zero cash. Bill collectors everywhere.
Even luckier when I found my first customer so I could pay my bills
But I recognize it’s so much harder today.
Which is why I respect the people who are willing to do what it takes to get started
