As part of my PhD project, we investigated the 3D genome organization of murine T cells, focusing on roles of SATB1 and CTCF. Our work was published @NatureComms nature.com/articles/s41467-0… and our optimized HiChIP and Hi-C protocol in mdpi.com/2409-9279/4/3/49 @MPs_MDPI 🧵👇

🚨 Our conference on academic culture is just around the corner! 🚨
What do top researchers need from their institutions? How can we create an environment where scientists thrive and achieve their best? 👨🔬💪
Join us to discuss opportunities and challenges in fostering a supportive research environment that leads to excellence!
🎓Encourage your students to attend too! They will gain insights into the broader aspects of academic culture, and we believe that good practices should be nurtured from the early stages 🙏

💫As a culmination of an extensive series of #SharingCzexpats workshops over the last three years, we are proud to invite you to our final conference on academic culture! 🎓
🤝 In collaboration with our partners from @ERC_Research and @AvHStiftung, we gathered experts in the field, including @mleptin, Robert Schlögl, and Matthew Rampley from @muni_cz, aiming to discuss their insights on how a supportive academic culture can accelerate innovation and excellence 🧬🌟
👥Join us for this fruitful discussion in beautiful Prague or online! The conference is open to all scientists beyond the undergraduate level 👩🔬

Our work using single-molecule chromatin configurations to link TF binding to gene expression is now out on bioRxiv! Amazing effort from @bgrdoughty, @MichaelaThinks, and @juliaschaepe, and an immensely rewarding collaboration with the @BintuLab: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… [1/n]

Great paper. I strongly agree that causal gene regulatory network inference (i.e. where u can actually claim gene A causally and directly regulates gene B) using mRNA alone is impossible IMHO. Even from perturbation expts. I think this is impossible. 1/
0. FIRST PREPRINT OF MY PhD IS OUT!!! biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
We have a super weird take on error control in gene regulatory network inference. Let me borrow your eyeballs. 🧵

Researchers @zelenkt @BabiSpilianakis part of @IMBB_FORTH @MSCActions @Mariecurie_alum show SATB1, a predominantly T-cell specific protein, helps to establish a regulatory, finer-scale 3D organizational layer on top of pre-existing chromatin scaffolds.

This work was led by Eric Helm and @dorina_avram @MoffittNews . However, it would not be possible without help of our numerous collaborators including Bryceson's lab, Conejo-Garcia's lab, @gatechatl @Zhang_Lab_UFL @akwiatkowski @keselowsky @BSheridanLab and many others.
