We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer at @zero_university in Dubai.
This is not a role for someone whose first instinct is only, “I can make this look better.”
We are looking for someone who sees a flow and asks, “Why does this work this way? What is missing? What should we try?”
Someone who can enter an unfamiliar domain, understand the patterns, communicate their thinking clearly, and bring a solution with the problem.
At Zero, design does not end at handoff. You will take a problem, prototype it, use AI to understand the product and work through ideas, stay close to the repo, and care about what actually ships.
We still care deeply about craft. But for this role, product judgment, curiosity, communication, and the ability to learn fast matter just as much.
3+ years of product design experience. Full-time and in person in Dubai, with openness to moving as Zero grows.
This is a demanding chapter. If you want real ownership and are ready to grow through hard work, I would love to see your work.

nobody asked us to build this website.
never on the roadmap. so for a year it lived on the last leg of everything, built after 15-16 hour days. we'd wrap the real work and then, instead of sleeping, open the file again. /01

Figma motion + weave is absolutely wild! 🔥

Most of edtech treats learning as a content problem, so it keeps adding more videos and courses. But information was never the thing people were short on. They were short on someone to turn to the moment they got stuck.
On Zero, you work through real scenarios with AI coworkers that won't just hand you the answer. They ask the next question, the way a good manager would, so you work the problem out yourself instead of looking it up.

Another day, another set of iterations.
The most fun I've had working on the product is the celebration and unlock screens. Could be because I get the full screen all to myself for a sec. Just me and my illustration.
No nav. No buttons.
if a job can be done alone at a desk, AI is coming for it. the work that survives is the work you do with other people. school never taught that. school calls that cheating.
universities will close the way coal plants do. not from protest. from economics. the moment something better and cheaper exists, it's over.
ask graduates what was actually worth it about college. they all say the same thing: "the people." $100k for about 10 close friends. you paid $10,000 per friend.

We turned a boring waitlist into a generative toy.
Every signup generates a unique Zero object with your number on it, live.
nobody asked us to build this. that's exactly why we did ⚡

the best thing school ever gave most people was one adult who actually paid attention to them. imagine designing the whole system around that, instead of leaving it to luck.

A lot of what we build shows up as features, buttons, and screens.
It's easy to look at those.
Every decision we've made traces back to the same place.
A set of foundational beliefs we hold as a team, and the thing they keep building toward: Zero
