This is an interesting point to me, and I think this is a good opportunity to talk about just why I love these two so much. Prefacing this. I want this to be divorced from the shipping war going on. I don't want people coming at me over some petty nonsense.

What ive come to realize about most ichiruki shippers is that what they seem to view as romantic undertones most of the time is stuff most shounen readers and writers simply view as protagonist deuteragonist dynamics. Rukia to ichigo is like killua to gon or sasuke to naruto.

If your fandom is an old fandom feel free to check out Dot Net, there's gonna be a lot for you to read. if its newer? No point.

Is it a bad time to ask why no one is suggesting fanfiction.net as a substitute for ao3 or is there smthin idk about that website

Cause it's like the one think Kubo is completely inconsistent on, because characters get introduced being several hundred years, but then will just start aging in real time. Like you see Rukia and Renji get older alongside Ichigo, and then at the end look like adults.

You see how Byakuya has changed after each timeskip, and Kenpachi too, Shunsui ages between each, when you'd think they'd look the exact same cause basically no time should've passed to them, but no they age too for some reason. You just gotta roll with it

the current fic discourse perfectly encapsulates how fandom as a concept has been completely ruined by the obsession with popularity and engagement

i truly think that twitter being the main place that you interact with fandom will inevitably rot your brain and concept of fandom culture regardless of how long you've been in the game

I just take it as the sealed state of Zangetsu. Mainly because this dude is so fucking strong he probably cant just be chilling in Shikai all the time in the WoL. It's a noticeably different sword than his Bankai after the scabbard shatters.
Bino (@AnimeGuru100) profile pictureBino@AnimeGuru100Oct 31
I need answers Kubo, why is it the original zangetsu and are we just never dual wielding again?!?

And also unrelated to Zangetsu, but my personal other theory that I have that isn't really backed up by anything other than him being one of the most powerful beings alive, but I think he also has a Gentei Kaijo on while in the WoL.
