The Feb 2020 bar exam was plagued with problems that the @StateBarCA brushed under the rug.
Just a reminder...
When @StateBarCA saw that only ONE black person from an ABA accredited school passed the Feb2020 bar exam everyone should’ve yelled, “FULL STOP! WTH are we doing here?” They should’ve deduced that there was a problem with the exam & not the 19 other Black ppl who failed to pass.
They won't do it. They are just eager & counting that very few applicants will pass the #BarExam, so those who won't will apply again no matter how much time they'll have. @StateBarCA & @CaSupremeCourt don't care about the profession or the #public. They are just in for the $$$.
Wishing that both the @StateBarCA and @CaSupremeCourt provided updates like this and expedited grading for CBX applicants. Yet folks who took the exam two weeks ago have to wait until late January— literally a few weeks before the February bar exam.

In Wisconsin if you attend UW or Marquette Law school, you are admitted upon graduation to the Wi Bar without taking the exam; note just because professions require these exams doesn’t necessarily mean they measure competence in a field;the bar exam is unrelated to practicing law

As I read more about the Oct. issues, it reinforces a belief I’ve held: the bar exam should be open book.
An open book test can be a challenging test of problem solving ability, one that tests the ability to reason logically. That matters more than a talent for memorizing.
