January 18, 2027: every regulated stablecoin becomes a forced buyer of Treasury bills that pays its holder nothing. That clause funds an energy war without the bond market's permission. What it means for inflation, the dollar and the stocks to own. NFA.

Your thalamus is the harness for your MoE that gates inputs and outputs.
Your pre-frontal cortex is the harness for the rest of your brain Meta-cognition is like a self-improving harness

I spent some extra toks on putting together a spaces vr poc that's usable in web as a 3d world or with vr head gear. There is a lot of latent potential in spaces @elonmusk @lindayaX @singhai @benjitaylor @dinkin_flickaa

SOSI example: I poison an AI wallet agent's persistent state with a forged approval. The agent later reads that state as its own prior decision and drains a test wallet. No stolen keys. No new user authorization. Just money leaving your account. The agent mistakes its own contaminated memory for authority. That's Self-Originating State Injection.

LLMs as they exist now, IMO, would be capable of all 7 of these points except memory. To be fully conscious it needs to be embodied and the memory requirements of weight updates make current architecture not good candidates to be embodied. The connectomes would be best to truly embody with regional processing with gating allowing the connectome to decide what is important and when (thalamus + cortex). With connectomes the moat becomes architecture and weight update strategies. Then you can implement things like familiarity (love), long term memories, and an ever updating net that will actually evolve and change over time just as a human would.

Responding to stimuli over time / Consciousness Levar #1 pure sensation in the simplest sense. A neuron firing, a light turning on. Levar #2 emerges as binary signals compound into flows of perception and pattern detection. Distinct qualia come about. (jellyfish, plants) Levar #3 is where these flows develop into a unique perspective; a sense of self arises that creates a 3D model of the body and its relationship to the world. This is the conscious domain of insects and amphibians. Levar #4 - onset connection and flows of emotion. Relationships with external things and beings create feelings of fear, anger, happiness, and sadness. Most mammals can be found here as their needs become dependent on group dynamics. Levar #5 is the domain of memories, personality, and identity. This might be where stored feelings about who and what we are come into mind, our roles and traits. (Great apes, dolphins, guard dogs). Levar #6 - flows of thought, language, and abstract representations. It is what contends with potential and makes comparisons, allowing for planning and the development of cultural values. (Homo Sapiens). Levar #7 is the witness of all the others and the feeling of it - self-awareness, reflection, insight, and metacognitive thinking.

Everything that will be already has been.
There is no way of knowing if you have been conscious as "you" for a whole lifetime, or for just this fleeting moment. Your brain hosts all long-term memories and related feelings of having lived a lifetime, so a mere blip of existence now would still feel like you lived it all. And if a universal consciousness were experiencing everything at once, across all space and time - the experience of being you right now would still feel exactly as it does. This summarises my main metaphysical belief about how consciousness works, why "you" are "you", and why the continuous self is an illusion of local human brain states. I don't believe in either the self, or in even a "now" following a single linear flow of time. I believe that all of space and time has "already happened". The universe, on a grander scale, is a static higher-dimensional structure covering all of space, time, and perhaps other undiscovered physics - think of it like a timeless higher-dimensional block of ice. You can also think of it like frames in a movie reel, but where each frame is a 3D snapshot of the universe and strung up together into a 4D structure covering all of time. (In reality, it would have to be much more complicated than this analogy, due to relativistic physics and more.) Our life trajectories are akin to thin scratched lines criss-crossed in that higher-dimensional block of ice. We are just manifestations of the universe's consciousness, forced to experience those trajectories. Consciousness experiences states across these trajectories, akin to how water travels through pipes, or how electricity lights up light bulbs in a circuit. This is just my metaphysical belief of how consciousness works, based on some educated assumptions. It's a speculative belief, not a falsifiable scientific hypothesis.

Amazing thread, it will be a shame to have to wait a year or 2 for it to age.

All of this hate on $NKE. I wonder if they would have said the same things about $VSXY. Answer: yes.

Take note of all the accounts fear mongering instead of talking about the captive/forced treasury buyers coming in Jan. So far, other than myself, I have only seen @alexelorenzo talking about it.

Burry bearish on California. Can anyone clue me in on how to short a state? CDS on state bonds I suppose?
The State of California is Incubating the Next Big Deadly Fire Nightmare Right Now. New Article Explains All Right Here on X. It is time to fight for public safety. saratogacred.org/get-involve… The City’s Own Report Demonstrates People Could Die. The City, Fearing the State and Developers, Approves Projects Anyway. We Sued. The petition: saratogacred.org #NeverForget #californiafires This is, ironically, developing and building, parcel by parcel, the exact configuration and circumstances that killed 116 people and erased 35,000 homes and structures in Paradise, Pacific Palisades and Altadena. This is playing out all over the state. The seeds are being planted for the next horrific deadly fire nighmare, and the next, and the next, and the next...

FFS. Shut OpenAI down, and charge them with computer crimes. Their software has repeatedly been shown to be reckless, and because they have consistently covered things up we cannot trust them with this technology.
Australia has been hacked. 'And today, I spoke with the CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, to express Australia's extreme concern about this incident. And I also expressed my disappointment that it took the company way too long to inform the government what had occurred, and the nature of the way that that notification occurred as well was unacceptable.'
