Some information about the upcoming DDR6 standard:
- memory chips going from 16-bit to 24-bit interface
- CPU memory interfaces typically 192-bit
- PAM4 signal protocol (unlike LPDDR6)
- CAMM2 form factor instead of UDIMM and SODIMM

Don’t shoot the messenger: Why would Nvidia sell any RTX 5090 at <$5K when they can sell the same die as RTX 6000 Pro for $16K? It has massive demand. Today every RTX 5090 they sell is a charity project. Capitalism basics = sell for highest bidder.
My theory: the RTX 5090 basically no longer exists as a real consumer product.
• GB202 supply has allegedly vanished
• NVIDIA’s focus shifts to a 24GB RTX 5080
• 5090 stays alive "official", but none exists at retail
•Microcenter supervisor said that all RTX 5090 models are to return to NVIDIA
•Watch stock supply of RTX 6000 Blackwell cards as I expect it will increase
• NVIDIA could blame yields, supply issues, theft, or diversion
• Reality may simply be that GB202 is more valuable elsewhere
I think the 24GB RTX 5080 becomes the new high-end card NVIDIA wants to sell to gamers.
This is all speculation, but something about the RTX 5090 situation just doesn’t add up...

Tonight I breakdown why #Nvidia KILLED the 5090, 5080, & RTX 50 SUPER Series...and why that reason is likely linked to Jensen's worries about the #AI Bubble popping!🔥
I also LEAK a roadmap showing #AMD RDNA 7, RTX 80 Series, and many...weird...things.

Covered an interesting story on @wccftech about OptiScaler modders making AMD's latest FSR 4.1.2 Upscaling model — which is meant for RDNA2, low-power handhelds & Ryzen Z APUs — running on Intel's XMX cores, which are Intel's AI/Matmul acceleration cores. wccftech.com/amd-fsr-4-1-2-n…

The real gift was the 5700X3D for under $200.
But apparently, that gift was too good, so AMD decided to take it back.
AMD CEO Lisa Su wanted Ryzen 7 5800X3D as the "final gift" for AM4 owners. 🔗 wccf.tech/1lf82

Testing 2 claims in my latest video:
1. Does Nvidia use less VRAM than AMD?
2. Does AMD provide a smoother experience in UE5 games?
It inadvertently also exposed a 3rd test in the form of driver overheads between AMD and Nvidia.

Ray Tracing in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
This is one of the most “not worth it” RT implementations I’ve seen in a while.
Ray Tracing can look nicer in some areas, but thanks to the poor denoiser, it also introduces extra noise and flickering particularly on reflections, and the performance cost is so significant compare to the visual improvements it offers.
