@BuffaloSabres @BuffaloSabres should really address this. Floyd Smith is 91 years old, it’s egregious that he hasn’t been honored and inducted into the Buffalo Sabres HOF.

Rural conservatives in deep-blue states are effectively governed without consent. In New York, Republicans win most counties yet still lose statewide by 20 points because dense urban and suburban voters in New York City and its suburbs cast the decisive ballots and vote overwhelmingly Democratic. The result is that rural and upstate communities pay the taxes, live under the regulations, and absorb the costs set by politicians they consistently reject. Same story in California and Illinois. Population density has become a veto over the rest of the state.
Kathy Hochul “won” New York.

End the war in Iran. Deport 50 million illegals and visa holders. Build new housing. Rebuild industrial manufacturing for good paying jobs. Put young families in a position to succeed. Put America first. This is the recipe for getting Gen Z back onside. If the GOP doesn’t listen to what young voters want, 2028 will look the same as the other night. Time to adapt. GOP is out of touch.

We need an electoral college on the state level. There are too many people distributed so unevenly for a straight popular vote to be sustainable going forward. Over half the population of New York State lives in the NY metro area and Long Island. They have an outsized influence in who runs the state. Upstate New York might as well be a different country compared to the City. Rural farmland, beautiful mountains. People who live much different lives and live at the mercy of politicians and governors elected by and working at the behest of the five boroughs. Upstate and Western New York deserve to have a chance to have a voice in state government. They deserve to have actual representation so their interests aren’t sacrificed to satisfy the idealism of New York City. Democrats will never allow such a plan to take place, though. It would mean Republicans actually having a chance at the governor’s office again. The only other option is splitting the state in 2. I would prefer to avoid this outcome.
Kathy Hochul “won” New York.

Just imagine if the @BuffaloSabres spent as much energy on inducting deserving alumni into their HOF as they spend on “alternate” jerseys. @PeterBONGLewis @Allentown1711

What’s needed is the vote counts outside of NYC and Buffalo. Did Blakeman win or lose Nassau Cty, and what really happened in Westchester? Serious discussions need to be made in NYS regarding what to do with primarily NY City.

This 🚨 🚨 🚨
New York, I have a serious question. How much longer are we going to tolerate this? Look at these election maps. An overwhelming majority of New York’s geography votes Republican, yet Democratic strongholds in densely populated cities determine statewide elections. That’s how representative democracy works. I understand the arithmetic. What I refuse to accept is political power without measurable accountability. I come from Buffalo, New York, where Democrats have controlled City Hall for decades. Yet we continue confronting abysmal educational proficiency, generational poverty, struggling neighborhoods, and economic stagnation. Where are the results? I’m tired of politicians celebrating electoral victories while the communities they represent continue struggling. I’m tired of political loyalty being mistaken for progress. And I’m particularly tired of the sophistry that questioning Democratic leadership somehow means betraying the Black community. I don’t care how many elections your party wins. Show me what you’ve accomplished for the people who entrusted you with power. Show me the educational improvements. Show me the economic mobility. Show me the neighborhoods that have genuinely recovered. And don’t hand me another press release announcing how much taxpayer money you’ve spent. Spending is an input. Improved lives are the outcome. I’ve reached a conclusion. Complaining isn’t enough anymore. It’s time for me to do something about it. New York deserves accountability, and I’m prepared to start demanding it publicly, systematically, and relentlessly. #AStoneGroove #SilentMajoritySpeaks

Again, the defensiveness over you criticizing a state is so bizarre. Why are they taking it so personally? Did they “invent” NY? Is it their baby? My god, people are morons.

They obviously have never made serious financial decisions. Moving that far takes time and lots of planning of several factors. Family can complicate it more. It’s like telling someone to quit a job they aren’t happy with. You don’t quit until you have another one lined up.
