A Good View of the Pennines.
This view of Nook Farm on Crimsworth Dean, was the subject of several paintings by Peter Brook, the Pennine Painter and, with the exception of the walls on the left having collapsed, has changed little in the intervening years.

A cooler autumn morning in Brontë Country. Golden light and a distinct chill in the air.

🙄 So no Oakworth date again, then? In fact, not a single village on the list. How is that fair? Edinburgh, for goodness sake! They’ve got shows coming out of their flippin’ ears! And Norbloodythampton? Don’t get me started! I couldn’t be more speechless if I tried 😤

Just 4 miles from Haworth (as the crow flies), Yorkshire’s largest boulder, the Hitching Stone marks the point where West Yorkshire meets North Yorkshire and Lancashire.

It’s not far. About 2 miles as the crow flies. Just West Yorkshire and Lancashire meet at Wolf Stones.

Absolutely. We hadn’t had any rain for over a month and it was still boggy as hell on the way there from Slippery Ford.
