#AndyBurnham Andy Burnham turning out be one pathetic Prime Minister. Everything coming crashing down on him. The job is too big for the King of the North FFS. Out of his depth. We all thought Keir Starmer was bad. Andy Burnham is worse than him. No balls, no backbone.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐ŸŒน THE 457 โ€“ AFGHANISTAN. FOREVER REMEMBERED. โ™ฅ๏ธ 457 British service personnel who lost their lives in Afghanistan. Not just names on a memorial. They were our mates, our brothers and sisters in arms. They had families, dreams and plans for a future they never got to live. For those of us who served in Afghanistan, remembrance isn't just about history. It's personal. We remember their faces, their laughter, their courage and the empty spaces they left behind. 457 lives. 457 sacrifices. Not one forgotten. ๐ŸŒน Stand easy, lads and lasses. We'll see you at the reorg. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง โ€“ at Towyn, Wales

Meet Stanley, the D-Day veteran who just celebrated his 105th birthday! ๐ŸŽ‰ Born one of eight children on a farm near Headcorn, Stanley Robert Elliss originally had an art scholarship lined up. Instead, he answered the call of duty and joined the RAF - eventually landing on Gold Beach on D-Day to help secure crucial airstrips for Allied Spitfires. Now a decorated Legion dโ€™Honneur recipient and Burma Star veteran, he marked this incredible 105-year milestone on October 22, surrounded by loved ones at Brambles Care Home in Wye.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Today marks 362 years of the Royal Marines. Since 1664, generations have served with courage, commitment, and pride. โ€œThe long, rough and glorious history of the Royal Marines has shown that they have achieved much. They will achieve more. They are ready to assail the enemy at many pointsโ€ฆ They are a formidable and versatile company of warriors as highly trained as any the world has seen.โ€ - Churchill 1945 Hereโ€™s to everyone whoโ€™s worn the green beret, those serving today, and all whoโ€™ve been part of the Corps along the way. ๐Ÿฅƒ Per Mare, Per Terram. #RoyalMarines

The only way to save the UK is by being brutal and utterly ruthless, just in the same way British governments have been with the British people over the last 70 years. We will have our land fit for heroes.

I donโ€™t want to post the video. Youโ€™ve all seen it. But I do want to write a love letterโ€ฆ Dear everyone in Britain, ( even you illegals) Just so you understand. The poppy is for the boys who never got to grow old. For the boys who were still somebodyโ€™s baby, brother, uncle or father. More than 600,000 of them. It doesnโ€™t matter if you support war, hate your country, think you are a woman (even though you are a man). It doesnโ€™t matter which God you pray to, or if you pray to none at all. It doesnโ€™t matter who you vote for, what climate narrative you believe, or whether you believe Israel should exist or not! The poppy isnโ€™t for you! Itโ€™s for those who came before. Those who fought for your right to be weird, annoying or even foreign. The poppy is how we say thank you. Thank you for giving us time, peace and choice. And attempting to ban our poppy by declaring it politically divisive isnโ€™t a move towards freedom. It is an act of suppression. Understand that. The poppy is about love and loss. For you! So stick your rainbow flags and every other flag where the sun doesnโ€™t shine and just wear your poppy. Those boys did not die as symbols. They died for you! Did you know that poppies grew across the battlefields where so many fell? As though even the land refused to forget the blood once given to defend it. So the poppy is for them. For those who came before us and paid in youth, in hope, in breath, in blood, so that we might have the freedom to be arseholes. So that we might even have the freedom to fight over the ridiculous, the inconsequential and the insane. Revere it, celebrate it and wear it. The very least you can do is that. Best The ordinary people.

Never forgotten. During WW2, Britain, the Empire and the Dominions raised approximately 8.6 million people for military service, including around 5 million from the British Isles, 1.44 million from the Indian subcontinent, 629,000 from Canada and 413,000 from Australia. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission also records approximately 68,000 British civilians who died through enemy action. Behind every figure was a person, a family and a story. We remember their service and sacrifice. ๐ŸŒน
