A Magistrate Court in Sagamu, Ogun State, has sentenced a 26-year-old man to three years' imprisonment for stealing a solar-powered streetlight along the Sagamu Interchange Expressway.
The convict, Anthony Cephas, was arrested at about 9:00pm on October 30, 2026 and arraigned by the Sagamu Police Division on November 2.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said in a statement that his conviction followed a diligent investigation and a subsequent arraignment before a court on 2 November 2026, "where he was convicted and sentenced to three years' imprisonment." – at Shagamu, Nigeria

3: The New Abeokuta Substation upgrade in Ogun State will transform the existing 132/33kV facility into a modern 330/132/33kV substation.
