Lost friends. Lost potential relationships. And today, someone I deeply cared abt walked away because I support PBAT. Zero regrets. My belief in him has only deepened. @officialABAT 2027 ✅

“The road that matters to every Lagosian is the roaf in front of their house. ➡️ I will work with the local governments, LCDAs, and the Lagos State Public Works Corporation to ensure that we effectively fix all our inner roads. ➡️ I am going to reconstruct major roads serving different parts of Lagos, such as the Mushin-Itire Road, Agelesho-Erekiti Road in Badagry, Alaba International Road, Ijede Road in Ikorodu, and many others. ➡️ I am going to complete the Lekki Regional Road and commence Phase Two of the Opebi Link Bridge, which will connect to the Second Axial Road. ➡️ I am going to increase the number of BRT buses from 1,000 to 4,000. ➡️ I am also going to commence the 4th Mainland bridge through a PPP arrangement. ➡️ I am going to complete the Blue Line and Red Line interchange station. ➡️I will work with the Federal Government to deliver the Green Line from Marina to the Lekki Free Trade Zone. ➡️ I am also going to upgrade the waterways by building new ferry terminals to ensure that the waterways serve as a third highway.” — Current Deputy Governor and 2027 APC governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat details during his manifesto launch today. The manifesto serves as a roadmap outlining the projects his administration intends to deliver over the next four years. It will be shared with Lagosians so they can examine the proposals and hold him accountable for their implementation.

The future of transportation in Lagos is taking shape and we are making steady progress. Phase 2 of the Lagos Blue Line Rail Project will extend the existing line from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko, bringing six new stations and connecting more communities along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. Work is progressing on the tracks, bridges and stations, with the first three stations at Festac, Alakija and Trade Fair scheduled to open by the end of February 2027. Our vision is a Lagos where people spend less time travelling and more time living, working and building their future. We are turning that vision into reality, one project at a time.

Collecting money from poor people to finance the election campaign of an ex governor and a billionaire whose wife is using a £130,000 handbag is diabolical.
The numbers have been overwhelming! Thank you Nigerians #VoteObiKwankwaso #NDC

We don’t need this policy . They need to repay their loans. That is how we can make this policy sustainable
Imagine waking up one morning to the announcement that 1,659,853 NELFUND student loan applicants no longer have to repay their outstanding loans because the Federal Government has decided to take care of them! WAILERS WILL NOT REST

What's happening in stocks right now is crystal clear. Fundamentally, nothing has changed over the last 60 minutes. This is the product of record levels of leverage colliding with a sudden shift in market sentiment. Sentiment is the ultimate driver of price. For months, we have been commenting on the historic levels of leverage in today's markets. This is precisely what happens when sentiment reverses in an overleveraged market. We will have more to say on this shortly.

Let’s talk about the impacts of President Bola Tinubu's administration on the Ikot Abasi Free Zone in Akwa Ibom. (Approved by the past President Buhari's administration in 2020)... - In a massive move for the Ikot Abasi industrial corridor, President Tinubu approved a $465 million investment directed toward the comprehensive revitalization and operational rejuvenation of the long-dormant ALSCON at the early season of his tenure - President Tinubu’s administration, through the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commision (NUPRC) and the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), actively cleared regulatory bottlenecks to approve this $120 million flare-to-value project. By granting formal commercialization permits under the federal Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme, the administration successfully unlocked critical private investment for the zone, transforming environmental waste into domestic economic wealth. - President Tinubu also formally integrated the seaport project into the federal budget, validating a personal commitment to establish it as a primary transshipment hub capable of loading over 13,000 containers in a single voyage. This moves cargo directly into the eastern markets. - In 2024, Oil And Gas Free Zones Authority granted approval for the establishment of a 567 MW power plant within the zone, serving both the industrial park's manufacturers and feeding surplus power into the national grid. - The administration's focus on national infrastructure has complemented Akwa Ibom State's localized projects, enabling the newly developed seaport facility in the free zone to successfully berth its first incoming commercial vessels. [Historic first berthing ship was on March 1, 2026] - The Federal Government has also approved a private passenger and cargo airport to be built within the zone. - Ikot Abasi Free Zone has secured over $1 billion in FDI within the first 17 months of Tinubu's presidency. This funding influx is closely linked to this administration's aggressive policy push for alternative energy resources, notably accelerating projects tied to CNG and petrochemical operations handled by operators like Sterling Petrochemicals. - The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) is actively pushing to resolve a ₦4 billion wayleave (right-of-way) hurdle to complete the critical 58km, 330kV transmission line linking QIT to Ikot Abasi. The completion target aims to satisfy the surging electricity requirements of the zone’s heavy industrial sectors. Located within the broader framework of the zone's heavy industry district, this revival is projected to fully restore local production, position Nigeria as a West African steel and aluminum hub, and eventually catalyze up to 500,000 direct and indirect regional jobs. The operationalization of this maritime link is positioning the Ikot Abasi corridor to serve as a key logistics and manufacturing center for the Niger Delta region. #BelieveInPBAT

I knew you were lying the moment you said, “A Nigerian man with barely any English skills.” English is Nigeria’s official language. It’s also the language of instruction in Nigerian schools, from preschool to higher education. He may have an accent (like you guys would say) or may not be eloquent, but neither accent nor eloquence necessarily determines English proficiency. Do you think a U.S. visa interview is conducted in French? Most of you have no visa or immigration experience, so you can’t tell an immigration lie to save your lives.
Our experiences with foreign aged care workers has been very negative, except for one. We've had a nigerian born man with barely any English skills arrive to shower my dad. He came to ask for instructions about how to shower him as he was in a wheelchair and couldn't stand. 2/

This government doesn't express itself properly. It sees every suggestion and contribution it does not like as an attack, and it doesn't have good spokespersons. Let's look at the good side of the reforms. GDP in Q2 2026 was at 4.48%. It's not as high as it was under the Yar'Adua/Jonathan government, but during the Buhari years, the economy grew by 0.9%. Today it's at 4.5%. That's progress. Inflation is down from 30% to 14.6% and is projected to be 12.5% by the end of the year. That is progress. GDP per capita in dollar terms has gone up since 2023 by 47%. If we continue at this rate, by the end of next year, GDP per capita will be back to where it was in 2005. Our reserves are at $55 billion, and yes, a lot of it is driven by portfolio flows, which are volatile, but we are lucky that there is a war in the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices are high. Investors would like to stay in Nigeria because of that and the high returns, and therefore we get the portfolio flows. We are also making progress in terms of diversification. 20% of our exports are coming from the Dangote Refinery. There are clearly foundations being laid for stability. It's not the end, but the first step towards stability. I'm not a fan of politicians, but we need to give credit to President Tinubu's administration for bringing us back from the brink. — Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, speaking today at the Oxford Global Think Tank conference convened by Arunma Oteh.
