The mind boggles at how any of this is possible.
Truly evil and sad.
A Latter-day Saint missionary who tearfully admitted to sexually assaulting a teenage girl because he felt 'miserable and sad' after splitting from his now-wife has been spared from serving any time behind bars trib.al/fHdFY8N 🔗

Regarding polygamous couple Israel, Lydia and Shakayla Ford. Israel was convicted in 2019 of first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence against his then-17-year-old stepdaughter, and was subsequently sentenced to 120 days in county jail.
His other stepdaughter has accused him of rape.🧵
Keep in mind that the activity itself isn't the only problem.
The willingness to turn a blind eye to the abhorrent suffering of others is demonic.
I hate to be this cynical, but I’ll be honest…running for Mayor exposes you to things that make you believe the city is actually being overtaken by demonic energy. Drive south Fig at night. Go to 6th and San Pedro. You see children openly prostituting, drug zombies setting dogs and cats on fire, babies born to crackheads and tossed in a dumpster, dead people just lying in the streets…that’s not even to mention the dozen neighbors of ours who burned alive in what is now a crumbled hellscape.
Many times I wondered if the city’s problems weren’t beyond the reach of any politician’s capacity to actually fix. There is a cultural and spiritual rot that can’t be fixed at the ballot box. Until we fix the culture, we are kinda just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic and the shit we shovel around every 4 years doesn’t really mean a thing.
This is how it ALWAYS goes down.

So he basically says he likes his eyes to wander and then found a way to turn that into polygyny is cool… and since he is playing the pastor card, we are all supposed to agree…
Sin is sin no matter the justification.
Wait, SHE actually included the tag #hetoo to describe how sexually aggressive she was towards her colleague?
And then she nuked his career by claiming #metoo?!?!?!?
"In hindsight, it was quite aggressive, / #hetoo."
That’s MIT based biologist Dr. Kristin Knouse being asked about text messages she exchanged with Dr. David Sabatini, a world renowned former MIT biomedical scientist.
Sabatini was once considered a potential Nobel Prize candidate for his breakthroughs in understanding cancer and aging.
The deposition is part of the evidence I reviewed in a defamation and work interference lawsuit Sabatini brought against Knouse.
Sabatini watched his career, his lab, and his reputation collapse under the weight of campus protests and social media attacks after Knouse accused him of coercing her into a sexual relationship that lasted more than a year, according to court documents.
🚩Sabatini gave me his first television interview since a Boston jury delivered a stunning $6 million defamation/interference verdict in his favor.🚩
The interview airs on #Boston25 News during our 6pm newscast.
I will post the full report after it airs.

False prophet.
I'm sure the inevitable Netflix documentary will uncover lots of sexual and financial impropriety.
To the surprise of NO ONE who rightly recognizes polygamy is a form of moral rot, the "prophet" and his wife who recently announced they are adding a second wife in polygamy are hiding more than they will admit to their followers.
Turns out the pastor previously viewed his new wife as a "daughter" indicating there was likely some form of grooming involved. At the very least, there was spiritual abuse.
How does this self-proclaimed prophet treat children?
Well, you can read about it in this court document where he and his wife were convicted of physically abusing a child. and you can see that they intermingled spiritual abuse with it.
Truly horrific.
This is why I push back against the polygamy of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young and the other early leaders of the LDS movement. The likelihood that it was completely unproblematic is just not reality.
Sin leads to more sin.
There is a reason polygamy was eradicated from the Western world. And why it was taken so seriously when the LDS movement tried to resurrect it. It's not good for children. It's not good for women. It's just not good for society.

You can hate on military movies or Pratt all you want but I actually think we need more movies like this. Specifically, the live action PG and PG-13 movie. Everything now is edgy and R and for adults or a cartoon. If Karate Kid came out today you’d have a bunch of A24 disciples on Twitter talking about how bad it looks. This isn’t for you. We need more live action movies that kids and their parents can watch together. We’ve lost the Sandlots and Mighty Ducks and Mrs Doubtfires. I hope, at the very least, this does well enough to green light more family friendly movies.
Paul Tillich said, "Religion is the substance of culture, culture is the form of religion."
It's odd to me as a nonLDS person to see current LDS attack those that have left the church.
The way that orthodox Christians view those who have strayed is that they are the sheep that have wandered from the flock. And that the Good Shepherd wants them to return. The Bible is full of examples of this emotional posture... the prodigal son, etc. The expectation is always that they will return, and the door is always left open.
But what I witness in LDS culture is pretty strong ingroup/outgroup dynamics. Once you are part of the outgroup, you are an enemy... not a beloved family member who has wandered.
Personal attacks like below. Whatever you think of @ldsabuse his post here is criticizing the church. But the criticism that is returned is a personal attack: "What is wrong with YOU?"
When I look at the history of the LDS movement, I see a parallel in how Joseph Smith acted. He would select and invite people into his inner circle. At the very center of his "Restoration." But once they criticized him, he would cast them out. From brother to enemy in an instant. Think of Oliver Cowdery and William Law.
Joseph Smith's behavior is narcissistic splitting. I don't think the person below is a narcissist, but I do think the behavior is an echo of the narcissism baked into the culture Joseph Smith created.

what is wrong with you?
we "advertise" every good thing we can, and you wanna criticize us because there's pretty women at church?
you're one messed up person

@grok Is Sean Hannity still Catholic or did he leave the church to get married to this women?
Fox News stars Ainsley Earhardt and Sean Hannity tied the knot on Saturday at the historic Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, returning to the place where Hannity proposed over Christmas in 2024.
Surrounded by their children, relatives and closest friends, the couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony that reflected their shared faith and the importance of family in their lives.

@grok And is this church a Catholic church? or another affiliation? Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida (where they got married)?
This is a gay man who is not out. He's on allegedly on Peter Thiel's payroll so take that for what you will.
Do not listen to him about anything.
It is really odd to see people more willing than Mormons to practice the polygamy that Joseph Smith and Brigham Young taught in 2026.
The mouth is moving. The brain is not.
