Dear @lefa_Max @thiitumz and the engineering community
We need to take this struggle to the major political parties: @MYANC @Our_DA @MkhontoweSizwex @EFFSouthAfrica @vote_ifp @OnsBaizaNie @Action4SA @VFPlus.
They cannot afford to sideline engineers while communities are deprived of affordable, safe and quality public infrastructure.
The era of appointing unqualified people to engineering positions and awarding engineering tenders to inappropriately qualified or inexperienced engineering consultants and contractors must end. It is a lose-lose situation for engineers, government and, most importantly, society.
@DepartmentPWI Minister @DeanMacpherson can help put engineering expertise at the forefront of infrastructure and service delivery. What is needed is political will.
#LGE2026 is an opportunity to build the #EngineeringVote and strengthen #EngineeringInfluence.

RESPONSE TO KIM HELLER'S PUBLIC NOTICE
I acknowledge Kim Heller's public denial and formally withdraw my previous sentence concerning both Kim Heller and the EFF regarding an alleged monthly payment of R60,000. I also withdraw the separate sentence concerning an alleged R200,000 contribution from Heller towards branch expenses.
The information originated from two third-party sources and was expressly identified as unverified. Neither allegation has been independently substantiated, and neither should be treated as established fact.
Questions concerning political influence, financial transparency and the independence of public commentators remain legitimate subjects of journalistic inquiry. My political analysis of the EFF and its leadership stands independently of these alleged payments.
Separately, I retain records of recent harmful statements made by Ms Heller concerning me, including statements dating back to 2016, which I consider defamatory. I reserve my rights in this regard.

South Africa - real genocide - in the name of NetZero and "climate change"
Jamie Dimon says America outsourced steel and aluminum production to coal-powered factories abroad… then celebrated lower domestic emissions as a climate victory 🇺🇸
“Our CO₂ emissions per unit of GDP are down something like 50%. But part of that was moving dirty manufacturing to other countries.
People are taking victory laps, but we didn’t do a damn thing. Steel, aluminum—a lot of that production was being done using coal overseas instead of here.
A lot of the policies we put in place can have the opposite effect of what we intended.
I still think we should reduce emissions. And I think AI is going to help us do it.”
By simply offshoring dirty manufacturing, the United States claimed an accounting victory on global emissions. In reality, it didn’t do a damn thing it just allowed for another nation to jump on the sword.

The Bronkhorstspruit water crisis, and the wider crisis of raw sewage being discharged into our rivers and oceans, raises serious questions about the role of engineers and the engineering profession.
Are engineering professionals being prevented from doing their jobs by political interference and dysfunctional procurement, legal, finance and HR processes?

The ANC is a mafia style organisation.
A vote for ANC is a vote for poverty, poor service, inferior education, and joblessness.
[WATCH] ANC National Chairperson Cde Gwede Mantashe tells a community meeting that the ANC does not claim to be perfect. It has made mistakes, corrected them and continued working to improve people’s lives. The ANC builds on its experience in government and the progress already made. On 4 November, vote ANC.

[WATCH] ANC IS LOWERING THE COST OF LIVING
We must lower the cost of living for our people by lowering the price of electricity. On Thursday we heard the Minister of Finance table the Mid Term Speech in Parliament where he introduced steps to lower the impact of the rising cost of living on households of South Africans, the ANC government on Thursday introduced the Fuel Levy relief which will be in effect from the 4th of November, the government is also investing R10 Billion to mitigate these rising prices and high cost of living.
These are not promises but practical steps being taken. Things are changing for South Africans and they are changing for the better.

"SA has betrayed ideals of freedom fighters" ~ Madlanga
Dear @GovernmentZA, @ParliamentofRSA & #LGE2026 Candidates,
#ChangingThingsSA We can reverse the betrayal of our people by putting engineers where they belong: at the forefront of protecting human dignity and driving socio-economic development. Continuing to appoint unqualified people to engineering posts deepens that betrayal, weakens accountability and creates conditions for corruption.

He criticises small parties for going to Washington, stating they never won at the ballot box. But neither did the ANC, taking 100% control over DIRCO (not even allowing other GNU partners even a modicum of influence), but with only 39.75% of the seats in Parliament, behaving like they won. In the municipal elections, they look set to become a 30% party but still impose their damage and destruction virtually unimpeded

The City of Cape Town’s politicians and officials behave as if they are the Elite Custodians of the Fount of Knowledge.
Sadly, that is not the case.
The recent proposal to raise the rates on residential properties which are being used to provide a relatively small income for the property owners, by 241% is a case in point.
The raison d’être for their latest example of foolhardiness is driven by the outcry against the cost of renting residential properties in the City.
So in a misguided lunatic attempt to control the free exchange of goods and services, they have decided to punish property owners for the owners success in creating, at the property owners’ expense, holiday accommodation which benefits many job seekers and businesses by attracting an influx of high spending visitors.
And all of this is based on an opinion or a feeling without a shred of research being undertaken to identify the real underlying causes of the shortage of rental housing stock in the City.
Beware of policies which are aimed at market manipulation. The history of them is littered with failures, and all are caused by the Elites of misguided government.
