I fucking love this timeline.
As I reported hours ago, Flávio Bolsonaro has arrived safely in United States.
The mastermind behind this operation is U.S. Secretary of State @SecRubio .
From the United States, free and safe, Flávio will lead the opposition against Lula.

On a random Wednesday afternoon back in 2017, while in Copenhagen, I ducked down into an old-school Danish restaurant that was packed to the gills to see what’s the hubbub.

The unfolding Malfoid drama reminds me of the bitcoin vibes a couple bull runs ago where we realized we could just meme things into existence.
Dessa is impressive, and I’m a voice model junkie. But why do they all sound like hungover millennials?

This is great advice and translates just as well to music. Learn the nuance of one piece well, until you realize it can't be mastered.
If you’re trying to get good in the kitchen - you MUST have a dish that you make over and over.
Yes make a variety of things.
But learn the nuance of one dish well.
Make it in different places, with different tools. Eat it with different people.
Make it until you think you’ve mastered it.
Keep making it until you know it can’t be mastered.
Then move on to another dish and do it again.

“whose work it’s important regardless of salary”
And therefore deserve to be debt slaves?
Replying to @newrepublic
While the Trump administration is framing the policy as “accountability” for higher education, and some are welcoming the move, others see it as an attack on those whose work is important regardless of salary.

There's a perilous inversion happening wherein men actually know a lot about female nature and women know almost nothing about the minds of men, while our culture insists precisely the opposite.

Remember when everyone thought that Elliot Page was playing Achilles in the Odyssey?
Boy did that generate a lot of engagement... and ultimately dollars at the box office.
While I agree with the sentiments of Mr Walsh, might it be possible that Gerwig's studio is running the same outrage-the-right-to-build-hype playbook here?
Strongly disagree with this. Actually, the deliberate subversion of explicitly Christian art does matter. And you can’t really play the “this topic isn’t important enough to worry about” card while simultaneously publishing a lengthy piece about it. It was obviously important enough for you to sit down and write an article. So we agree that it warrants commentary. The question, then, is whether the subversion of Christian art is good or bad. And I can’t for the life of me understand how any conservative could come to any other conclusion than “it’s bad.” If there is any rational defense of the contrary position, this piece doesn’t even attempt to present it. All it does is repeatedly insist that the Lion character who symbolically represents Jesus is not literally Jesus Himself. Which is an argument refuting a point that nobody has made. The point that we are making — that the deliberate subversion of Christian art is self-evidently bad — is not addressed at all, except with various dismissive cliches about “clutching pearls.” A charge that, given the hostile and condescending tone of the article, could be thrown right back at the author.

It's funny how covid was this big unprecedented historical event but they're never going to make any movies about it because it would make everyone look retarded
I’m cautious here as I thought Nolan’s Odyssey was way less woke than the pre-release X chatter expected. And Daniel Craig is not the director, but this does say something about how he will play the character I suppose.
But man this is not looking good.
"It’s not to say that he’s cruel and mean and awful. He gets overexcited about what could be, and therefore overlooks the people around him and the consequences of what he’s doing.” - Daniel Craig on Uncle Andrew.
One of the goals in reading Narnia to my kids was for them to learn about evil adults. They exist. They do not have good intentions. They are manipulative. They use people and do not love people. Uncle Andrew is literally Exhibit A. He's not merely "overexcited" - he's evil and preys on children in the name of his fantasy.
The ongoing reputational rehabilitation project of villains is not good for the world or for kids. It is good for evil adults, though. An amoral world is an immoral world.
Yes! We must fully embrace our role as shepherds, gardeners, and stewards of nature. Assume the mantle of benevolent masters of nature rather than self-hating parasites upon it or selfish and short-sighted manipulators of it.
