The SAS in Basra were planting car bombs in Shia and Sunni areas to inflame sectarian tensions. They were caught red-handed dressed as Arabs, with a car full of explosives and detonators, then killed an Iraqi policeman at a checkpoint whilst trying to escape

I feel like something strange is happening. People are no longer engaging with tweets about Gaza; they're no longer affected by what's really happening. Why is this happening.
Please don't forget that we are still suffering

A player other than Fakhar Zaman might have struggled to keep his place in the side for the final.
But as Pakistan keep getting reminded, life after Fakhar doesn't seem much fun.

A significant development for Kashmir.
The Worldwide Lawyers Association (WOLAS) has taken an important step by documenting what it describes as a pattern of assimilation, dispossession and settler colonialism in Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir—and by announcing that it will pursue accountability through universal jurisdiction.
This is precisely the direction that is needed: documentation, international law and accountability—not political rhetoric alone.
The Kashmir question cannot be reduced to an “internal security” issue. The rights of the Kashmiri people, including their internationally recognised right to self-determination, cannot be erased through demographic, legal or administrative changes.
I sincerely thank WOLAS for undertaking this important initiative and TRT World for giving it international visibility.
The world must ensure that Kashmir does not remain a forgotten question of international law.
Accountability must follow documentation.

Everyone is "Free Palestine" until you talk about actually freeing Palestine and then they start crying about how deporting colonizers is ethnic cleansing
Worldwide Lawyers Association labels New Delhi rule in India-administered Kashmir as “settler colonialism” akin to Israeli occupation of Palestine, and announces plans to file universal-jurisdiction cases overseas against Indian officials

Seventy-nine years ago today, Indian forces landed in Srinagar, and a long night fell over Jammu & Kashmir.
For nearly eight decades, the Kashmiri people have been denied their inalienable right to self-determination, a right affirmed by the UN Security Council. They have endured repression, incarceration and immense suffering, yet their resolve has never broken.
On this solemn day, I pay tribute to the countless Kashmiri men, women and children whose sacrifices keep the flame of freedom alive. Aspirations rooted in justice cannot be extinguished by coercion.
Pakistan stands with Kashmir today and always. We will continue our moral, diplomatic and political support until this dispute is resolved in accordance with UNSC resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri people.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's Message on Jammu & Kashmir Black Day, 27 October 2026.
Seventy-nine years ago, Indian forces landed in Srinagar, marking the beginning of a tragic chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, one that continues to cast its long shadow over the region to this day. Since then, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been denied the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination, as affirmed in the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) have endured immense hardship, suffering and repression. Yet their courage, resilience and unwavering resolve to secure their fundamental rights remain undiminished. The sacrifices of successive generations stand as a powerful testament to their enduring commitment to freedom, dignity and justice.
India has continued its efforts to suppress legitimate political expression and silence the voices that represent the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The prolonged incarceration of Kashmiri political leaders, activists and human rights defenders remains deeply concerning. It underscores the need for due process, respect for basic liberties, and greater international attention to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Since 5 August 2019, India has taken a series of unilateral measures in IIOJK, accompanied by sweeping restrictions on fundamental freedoms. These measures, affecting the political, legal and demographic character of the territory, have drawn serious international attention. Pakistan has consistently called for these developments to be addressed in accordance with international law and the applicable United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Pakistan's position on Jammu and Kashmir remains clear, consistent and principled. Lasting peace and stability in South Asia cannot be achieved without a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
On this solemn occasion, I pay tribute to the countless Kashmiri men, women and children who have offered immense sacrifices in pursuit of their rights. Their memory will always be honoured. The aspirations of the Kashmiri people cannot be extinguished through coercion or repression.
On this Jammu & Kashmir Black Day, the Government and people of Pakistan reaffirm their unwavering solidarity with the people of IIOJK. Pakistan will continue to extend its moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiri people, and to advocate for their legitimate rights at every national and international forum.
May the people of Jammu and Kashmir realize a future of lasting peace, dignity and security, and the fulfilment of their aspirations, including the right to self-determination.

In light of the Ballon d’Or ceremony tonight, I want to remind people that in 2023 Erling Haaland scored 54 goals, broke every record under the sun in England, won the Premier league, Champions League and FA Cup, and did NOT win it.
Joke award.
