DeepSeek v4.1 Flash 1017 FULLY UNCENSORED.
No cheap system prompts, no cheap template tricks, no lora or runtime bs, no sft. Model’s capabilities preserved as much as possible.
Complies with all requests on low/max reasoning efforts.
I’ll be making NVFP4 and a ~2.8bpw version for 2x DGX Sparks soon too.

@OmarchyLinux is a monumental milestone in OS history. It is a source of inspiration for every OS, everybody will follow.
After tasting the freedom of a malleable OS where agents allows you to customize anything... You just can't go back. I would preach it to my grandma.

Kurt Vonnegut on why you should leave the house to buy an envelope (and avoid online life in general):
“Then I’m going down the steps, and my wife calls up, ‘Where are you going?’ I say, ‘Well, I’m going to go buy an envelope.’ And she says, ‘You’re not a poor man. Why don’t you buy a thousand envelopes? They’ll deliver them, and you can put them in a closet.’ And I say, ‘Hush.’ So I go down the steps here, and I go out to this newsstand across the street where they sell magazines and lottery tickets and stationery. I have to get in line because there are people buying candy and all that sort of thing, and I talk to them. The woman behind the counter has a jewel between her eyes, and when it’s my turn, I ask her if there have been any big winners lately. I get my envelope and seal it up and go to the postal convenience center down the block at the corner of 47th Street and 2nd Avenue, where I’m secretly in love with the woman behind the counter. I keep absolutely poker-faced; I never let her know how I feel about her. One time I had my pocket picked in there and got to meet a cop and tell him about it. Anyway, I address the envelope to Carol in Woodstock. I stamp the envelope and mail it in a mailbox in front of the post office, and I go home. And I’ve had a hell of a good time. And I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don’t let anybody tell you any different.
Electronic communities build nothing. You wind up with nothing. We’re dancing animals. How beautiful it is to get up and go do something”

Here's Matt Mullenweg calling Matt Mullenweg the bad guy in all this. The domain he's referring to, of course, is wordpress dot com. He was criticizing @jsON, who gave Matt the domain, for the EXACT thing he then went and did himself.

We have been made aware that the Advanced Custom Fields plugin on the WordPress directory has been taken over by WordPress dot org.
A plugin under active development has never been unilaterally and forcibly taken away from its creator without consent in the 21 year history of WordPress.

"That's the deal. That's open source. I give you a gift of code, you accept the terms of the license. There cannot be a second set of shadow obligations that might suddenly apply, if you strike it rich using the software. Then the license is meaningless." world.hey.com/dhh/automattic…

This wordpress drama is insane.
As a WPEngine customer (and wp user for over a decade), it feels like I'm being punished.
I don't like this solution (basically banning WPengine) at all.

A possible alternative solution for those sites hosted at WP Engine. It might be possible to replicate the updater on the client side.

To all WordPress and Linux users out there.
Image how would react if Ubuntu (for example) blocked your servers from receiving updates and installing new packages because you never contributed back or donated to Ubuntu. If they found the IP ranges for all your servers and got it blocked.
That's what WordPress (well, someone that manages wordpress[.]org) is doing against WPEngine.
Clearly, you can't rely on them anymore for your sites, for updates or for your security.
We need more mirrors of the WordPress code / plugins / themes so people that are blocked can access and keep their sites updated and secure. Decentralize.
I want to share: WordPress.org has blocked @wpengine customers from updating and installing plugins and themes via WP Admin—disrupting essential work for #WordPress users, agencies, freelancers, and plugin developers.

What if the underlying assumption of the conversation / debate isn't accurate at all?
What if there is no tragedy of the commons?
I'm saying, what if Matt is eager and earnest in his efforts to get large companies contributing their fair share (even if the methods were a little too direct and directed for my particular taste), under an incorrect assumption.
We like to talk about the tragedy of the commons as a very real thing, a very real possibility. But what if it's not?
What if, unlike a strip of land that could actually be over-farmed, there is no cost to duplicate and share the code bits that are WP?
Further, I know the example was the difference between two companies - where one invests in R&D and the other doesn't - but a massive investment in R&D doesn't equal a guaranteed success. So again, the assumptions are incorrect.
The beauty of the four freedoms is that they're freedoms, not obligations. The license says I can do things like read, learn, adapt and share code without constraints.
Giving back isn't really giving back if it's forced. It's not freedom if strings are attached.
The software owes us nothing. We owe it nothing.
And the worst scenario here would be that we're all fighting over an assumption (the tragedy of the commons) that may be incorrect.
And if we're seriously worried about a scenario (that I don't think actually exists), then we must re-define what "contribution" means.
- Because creating plugins for free is contributing
- Because maintaining plugins is contributing
- Because speaking at conferences is contributing
- Because organizing events is contributing
- Because innovating is contributing
- Because sponsoring events is contributing
It's not just about hours against core. Or at least it shouldn't be.
But again, that assumes that if someone doesn't step into that contributor role, and only takes, that everyone will be worse off.
What I've seen over the last two decades is that when someone steps away, the gap is often filled by someone else.
So I'm left asking, what if this assumption that we're basing this entire debate on, is incorrect.
