Leftist streamer Hasan Piker mocked injured ICE agents at a sold-out Minneapolis campaign event alongside Rep. Ilhan Omar, laughing about "funny compilations" of federal officers getting hurt during Operation Metro Surge and joking that "a lot of hip bones were broken."
The comments ignited a firestorm from conservatives and even some Minnesota Democrats. Rep. Angie Craig and Sen. Amy Klobuchar publicly condemned Piker, while Omar's campaign defended her attendance as an effort to mobilize young voters ahead of next week's midterm elections.
Piker, who previously made headlines for saying "America deserved 9/11," has become a polarizing figure on Democratic campaign trails — embraced by some, rejected by others. Omar herself is facing her own scrutiny after HSI agents searched her D.C. home earlier this month and a federal court filing identified her as "Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, aka Ilhan Abdullahi Omar."

Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says poll workers immediately reported Cam Higby after he entered multiple Minneapolis polling places in a Muslim costume, used a fake accent and falsely claimed to be registered voters. Higby left when told he would have to sign an oath, meaning the system stopped him exactly where its safeguards were supposed to.
Minnesota law makes intentionally misrepresenting your identity while applying for a ballot a felony, and law enforcement is now reviewing his actions. In trying to manufacture evidence of voter fraud, Higby may have put himself in legal jeopardy instead.
