The moment when Billy Boston, 90 years old and living with dementia, sees his face on the big screen, then realises the whole stadium cheering is for him 🥰😭
If they ever give a rugby league player a knighthood, Billy will be first in the queue. – at Sydney, New South Wales

🏉 Great news - the Rugby Codebreakers statue of Billy Boston, Clive Sullivan and Gus Risman - which is the first in Wales to feature non-fictionalised, named black men - has won the ‘Celebrating Black Sporting Heritage Award’ category at the Sporting Heritage Awards tonight.

Passing on a new @ciacsRFC tie to the legendary Billy Boston, Billy’s so proud to this day that he’s a former CIAC player before he came North to Wigan, the CIACs are a famous club in Cardiff’s Tiger Bay where Billy grew up.
