Pilots have to be extra vigilant of social media/PED usage on FAA ops. I heard a few years ago that the Feds have folks who job is to just watch YouTube videos all day searching for violations. Many popular aviation YouTubers have been violated by what they posted online.
Now, they are clamping down on in-flight Wi-Fi usage.
I think there is also a ban on video recording of 121 and 135 ops. Rayban Meta wearers beware!
And then there are final approach pictures. File them in your nudes folder for your own good 😔.
FAA suspects pilots are using WiFi meant for passengers during flights

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
No current reputable source reporting this and hard to find original source of screenshot to appropriately question it.
Also some elements do not make sense:
FAA doesn’t serve warrants.
That number of pilots being pulled would be visible in cancellations.

I don’t really understand the maths it takes to send humans behind the Moon and bring them back safely. And the more I sit with that, the more it genuinely messes with my head even tho my love for physics and my knowledge of physics is astounding to a point
Somebody had to work out a path where the Moon’s gravity is pulling you in, the Earth is pulling you back, and you’re moving just fast enough and not slow enough not to get trapped by either. They had to figure out the exact angle to come back into Earth’s atmosphere too. Too steep, you burn up. Too shallow, you bounce off and drift into space. And they had to get all of that right at the same time, for real people sitting in a small metal capsule about 400k kilometres away from home.
Nothing in that system is standing still.
The Moon is moving.
The Earth is moving.
Even the Sun is pulling on everything. And still, some people looked at all of that motion, all of that chaos, and turned it into numbers you can follow. Go here.
Adjust here.
Come back here.
And unlike nepa light, it infact works.
There’s also that moment in the journey where the crew passes behind the Moon. No contact with Earth. No signal. Just silence, with a massive rock blocking everything they’ve ever known. The only reason they can stay calm in that moment is because someone, somewhere, did the maths and proved they’ll come out the other side.
I don’t know what it feels like to trust something that much. To put your life in an equation when you’re that far away from everything.
But I do know this for sure, whatever that level of thinking is, whatever it takes to reach it, it might be one of the most extraordinary things human beings have ever done...

I saw videos of a Cobra and another type of snake taken out of Ifunanya's apartment. Has any government facility identified which of them bite her? If it was the cobra, which specie? Is it common or native to that area? Given the speed of neurotoxicity, what does it tell us about this specie and what must we do to protect people potentially exposed to it?
We have a penchant in Nigeria of not learning from tragedies. Ifunanya's death is a tragedy. The least we can do is learn as much as we can from this and make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. My deepest condolences to her family and May her soul RIP 🙏

Flying over the Atlantic today and took this video and photos as we crossed over a waypoint slightly behind and above another aircraft. Thought everyone might like to see the contrails showing the turn. 😊✈️

A couple of months ago, I heard a helicopter orbiting over my house. Looking out the window, I estimated they couldn't continue flight due to the low cloud Base (300 feet approx). The helo landed in a field a few hundred meters away. 5 minutes later, an ambulance blared past at high speed to continue the patient's journey by road.
That is healthcare money can't buy.

Sometimes, you read a story that makes the blood in your veins run cold.
Blessing's baby, Victory, was born premature and diagnosed with hydrocephalus (fluid in the brain), and she needs an urgent ₦1,000,000 surgery to survive.
Instead of support, Blessing’s husband called her a witch for having a sick child and threw her and their baby out onto the street.
Now, Blessing is alone, fighting for her daughter's life with nothing.
Her husband turned his back, but we will not.
AprokoNation, let's be the family she needs right now. Let's save Victory.

I have decided to categorise all Nigerian Christian leaders are false prophets pending when they can prove otherwise by standing up for the plight of not just the Nigerian Christian but all oppressed Nigerians. Their silence is too loud for them not to be complicit!
One thing that I need to crack, is what exactly is responsible for the relative silence of Christian leaders in Southern Nigeria (especially in places like Lagos) - over the plight of Christians in Northern Nigeria?
Let's be frank here. You could attend church in Lagos, for a year, without hearing once, about anything happening to Christians in Northern Nigeria.
True, there's an insecurity crisis affecting the whole of Nigeria, not just Northern Nigerian Christians - but if Christian leaders do not speak up for fellow Christians, then what's the point of "Christian leadership"?
Martin Luther King didn't just speak out for Blacks, he also spoke out for the poor - he focused on the community he was most closely identified with, before expanding his focus.

The Yoruba language is deep beyond measure - and I believe so are other Nigerian, and possibly African languages! How do you pray for someone and say “oni se akobata fun egbe” in English such that it hits home?
My late grandma never failed to use this line to pray for me, and

This is the product of lawlessness!! When you set dangerous precedent, anarchy becomes the norm. If Oshiomole was handled well, there wouldn’t have been a Kwam 1! Now we have Kwam 2. The Nigerian lady who slapped pilot in Morocco in 2017 that delayed our flight did not go to Nigeria with that flight. I’m sure she must be in jail till today.
When Nigeria is ready, we will know, for now, let’s continue clowning around!!
Another day, another drama at the Airport between a passenger onboard @ibomairlines and the AVSEC at the Lagos Airport today. The passenger was on the Uyo to Lagos flight today.
E don dey shele.

I wish I had thought of this when my kids were younger. She said it worked too! She says she wants them to understand they only have each other. They’ll remember this forever! 🤣
