Lmaoooo on call to bar day, someone seized my phone during the ceremony. I finished the ceremony and went to collect my phone. The person said I must beg before I collect it.
LMAO. I just left. How can the opening brief of my career be begging a power drunk person? God forbid.
Hold the tecno phone abeg.

📸 UK Train Story | Episode 01 🚆 🇬🇧🇪🇨
I met Leonardo on a train from Newcastle to Carlisle, in Northern England, on Wednesday. A young man from Ecuador, eyes fixed on his laptop, deep in work. A conversation began with a shutter.
Leonardo owns Galani, a fashion brand, and it seems the creative process never takes a break. Not even on a moving train.
Sometimes, the most interesting stories begin with strangers sitting just a seat away.
One journey. One stranger. One story at a time.

This is how to shut the vile, vicious and disgusting internet trolls off. If they know your story, they will know you have the thickest skin to withstand their trolls and tropes. If they know you’re from the city of warriors and proclaim the fastest growing religion in the world, they will rethink their trolls. But hey, they are all inconsequential internet trolls who wait for the next trending topic to latch onto. In real life, many of them are children of perdition. I wish you success my friend and brother.
UK Train Story | Episode 02 🚆🇬🇧 🇮🇪
Meet Aynia, originally from Ireland, who has spent her life in England and is preparing for her university journey.
Family means a lot to her, but so does making a difference beyond the familiar. She hopes to visit Nigeria, her favourite country in Africa, and has ambitions to make a meaningful impact on the continent and leave something valuable for humanity.
For Aynia, trains are one of the easiest ways to get around, but this journey became an opportunity for something more, a conversation with a stranger and a glimpse into her hopes for the future.
Sometimes, the most interesting journeys are not just about where we’re going, but what we hope to contribute to the world when we get there.
One journey. One stranger. One story at a time.

Yesterday, I accompanied Madam President, Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN @MrsBBold, to the Nigerian Economic Summit 2026. We had very interesting engagements. In the Goopdwill message given by Madam President, at the Session: "Law as Infrastructure: Building Predictability into Public-Private Partnerships", reiterated the importance of Law to development as it is the infrastructure for economic prosperity.

When JP Morgan expands in Nigeria, it’s not sentiment — it’s conviction.
Dapo Olagunju says the country’s reforms and the CBN’s banking regulation quality are behind the bank’s decision to grow its presence. 🇳🇬 kudos to @cenbank

For Nigerian lawyers who have qualified and are litigating in foreign jurisdictions, I have a question:
'Please is it the practice over there to hear utterances from the bench such as:
1. "what sort of rubbish motion is this?"
2. "what sort of stupid application is this?"
3. "Are you crazy?" 🤯🤯
4. "You are 4 years post call right? Please restrict yourself to the magistrate court. When you have clocked 5 years, you can come here."

On this, I have a very different point of view.
Because I swear to God, I was once there just a couple of years ago.
It was a terrible moment.
While I can't speak on the nature of the student's approach and how genuine his/her plight is, I can speak from my own experience.
And sometimes, people just really need the help.
And they felt, nobody is better to understand their plight any more than a senior lawyer who probably have gone through same difficult times in pursuit of a place at the most prestigious bar.
But I guess this was my first mistake.
I later realised not everyone's story or struggle is similar to mine.
Frame 1 was me in @theairbuser's dm, may the universe be kind to him as he was kind me. He tried to help me reach out to my oga @egi_nupe 😂 but that was where it ended - while frame 2 was me in @WATLegal's dm. Baba didn't even see the message. Those were just the two I reached out to before I gave up quickly cuz ordinarily, I never did anything like that before. But again, it was a terrible moment and I really needed the help.
Why am I sharing this now?
It's far from a place of entitlement.
But from a place of compassion.
I understand the said student probably have no idea you my learned brother is also trying to help out of the little you get. Which is very commendable. God bless you.
But I just want to plead to give grace in some circumstances.
Such dm may come off rude, but if I was in a place to help a law student, particularly one in law school, I would help without necessarily bothered whether or not we knew each other before. Of course not without conducting due diligence and ensuring it's not a scam.
I have been helping just a few in my little capacity. I pray to be in a bigger position to help even more in the nearest future.
May almighty Allah ease all our affairs.
So, I earn a 100k monthly at my firm as salary. Earlier this month I decided to do a giveaway of 30% of that money to students of NLS just to encourage them. Today, one of said students texted me to say hello, I had assumed it was merely a courtesy call only for the person to bill me and I just got upset.
Like we don’t know each other, but because I followed you back to allow you dm me the first time, you think it’s okay to text me for the very first time since that day and the text is billing? What is wrong with some of you?
This type of behavior is what discourages people from giving out of the little they have. If you are like this, stop wondering why your friends avoid you. DO BETTER! Jeez!
