$ASTS: 🇧🇷The regulatory winds are blowing in AST SpaceMobile's favor
➡️Originally, 60MHz of Brazilian S-Band was assigned to Echostar and Omnispace in 15+15MHz blocks
➡️Anatel's recent consultation has now granted both Starlink and AST SpaceMobile 15+15MHz blocks
Viasat and Omnispace should be very nervous

$ASTS: 🚨AST SpaceMobile received a 15+15 MHz S-Band spectrum allocation in Brazil on top of the 700MHz that will be deployed with MNO partners.
How much would you value these rights for AST, which will cover +200M mobile potential subscribers?
“Anatel’s authorization covers 15+15 MHz of S-band spectrum, totaling 30 MHz, for AST SpaceMobile’s planned service in Brazil. In addition, following Anatel’s regulatory approval, agreements with four regional operators support AST SpaceMobile’s authorized secondary use of up to 10+10 MHz of spectrum in the 700 MHz band within the operators’ respective licensed areas. These complementary spectrum resources — 30 MHz in the S-band and up to 20 MHz in the 700 MHz band — strengthen AST SpaceMobile’s ability to deliver space-based cellular broadband across Brazil, beyond the reach of terrestrial network to enable voice calls, broadband data and video streaming directly on standard, unmodified smartphones.”

$ASTS getting going with Rakuten testing in Japan
It’s a license to transmit for testing. The station type, 実験試験局 (“experimental test station”), is the category Japan uses for R&D and over-the-air trials. It lets Rakuten put handsets on the air with BlueBirds anywhere in Japan, 24/7, on its full 700 MHz uplink, through August 2031.

I'd note that Coello was bearish on AST because he thought Starlink was going to get all of these MNO partnership whereas now Starlink is going to compete directly against them! Shocking news.

Brisanet Serviços de Telecomunicações S.A. (B3: BRST3) ("Company" or "Brisanet"), in accordance with Article 157(4) of Law No. 6,404, dated December 15, 1976, and in accordance with CVM Resolution No. 44, dated August 23, 2021, hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, together with Unifique Telecomunicações S.A. and lez! Telecom, it has signed a Commercial Agreement with AST SpaceMobile to offer mobile satellite broadband services (also known as Direct-to-Device-D2D) throughout Brazil.
Regional mobile operators will make available the 700 MHz band radio frequencies they hold and will be responsible for investing in the infrastructure needed to connect their mobile networks to AST SpaceMobile's satellite constellation via ground gateways.
The collaboration aims to enable voice calls, broadband data, and video streaming directly on standard smartphones, without any modifications, eliminating the need for specialized equipment, software updates, or apps. By integrating satellite connectivity into its existing mobile network, the company aims to expand coverage wherever people live, work, and travel, allowing customers to stay connected even when they are out of range of terrestrial networks.
The initiative reinforces the commitment of regional operators to expand connectivity throughout the country and complements the investments they are already making to expand their terrestrial networks.
According to José Roberto Nogueira, founder and CEO: "The partnership with AST SpaceMobile complements our network and allows us to extend connectivity beyond the reach of our terrestrial infrastructure, offering customers access to voice and mobile broadband services in more locations using the smartphones they already own; this secures Brisanet's place in the future of connectivity."
The final details of the agreement are still being negotiated, and the transaction is subject to certain conditions. The Company will keep the market informed of the transaction's progress and any new developments.

$ASTS just signed agreements with three Brazilian carriers including Unifique, Brisanet and Iez to bring satellite broadband directly to regular smartphones using their 700 MHz spectrum.
The carriers would also fund the ground gateways allowing AST to expand through existing mobile networks while keeping its own spending focused on satellites.

BREAKING: The first indication of @BlueOrigin's New Glenn Return-To-Flight is here...
December 28, 2026.
The CADENA air traffic advisory lists this mission as "New Glenn 4.1". The rocket which exploded was "New Glenn-4".
As ever, these dates are extremely provisional, and should be taken with a pinch of salt until more concrete information is released.
