The Big 12 has played 9 conference games since 2011. Big 10 has played 9 conference games since 2016. SEC’s 8-game schedule was a structural advantage that protected its teams’ records, so of course Kiffin doesn’t like it.
Lane Kiffin continues to make a strong case against the SEC's move to nine conference games. More losses, more beat-up teams and less roster depth in the transfer portal era. His biggest point? SEC teams are being punished in the rankings for playing tougher schedules. Hard to argue with him on this one.

I was wrong. I might have to get Dad a Mara jersey for Christmas.

Shai should be the great uniter. Analytics nerds should love him because his metrics are insane. “That boy nice” enjoyers should love him because he’s the toughest bucket in the league. Instead, he is widely hated. I’ll never get it. He’s fucking incredible and a joy to watch.

We’re still doing this? Shai: 27 shots, 4 FTA Wemby: 13 shots, 12 FTA So SGA got TWO “different” whistles the entire game. I’ve actually never seen a ball dominant MVP get less whistles than SGA. Appreciate greatness, people: 141 consecutive 20 point games, most in NBA history.
The whistle SGA gets is different than every player in the league.

SGA does unstoppable Jordan things nearly every trip down the court. Simply a joy to watch.

Big 12 has parity: the conference sucks Big 12’s contenders dominate: the conference sucks The Big 12 can’t win, and it’s all due to brand bias. They have OOC wins over ND and Oregon, but it’s not enough because they weren’t all dominant programs in the 70s.

Perfect case for the SEC insulation bias. Texas is coming off back to back losses to unranked teams with Florida beating them at home but instead of unranking Texas they just rank Florida. Another ranked win for the conference!

38-2 in non conference. How impressive. Surely this isn't just more SEC media propaganda! Let's see how that breaks down: ◽️12 P4 opponents ◽️18 G5 opponents ◽️10 FCS opponents Wow, so only 10 of those wins were against P4 teams. Surely you're playing the tops of these conferences...? unranked ACC #4 unranked ACC #6 (3 pt win) unranked ACC #11 unranked ACC #14 unranked ACC #15 #25 Big 12 #5 unranked Big 12 #6 (1 pt win) unranked Big 12 #16 #3 Big 10 #2 (1 pt win) unranked Big 10 #7 So only one opponent that was ranked before today? Out of those 40 games you only won a single game against a team in the top 20 and by one single point??? Surely that can't be right. And then you lost to the other top 10 team you played (3rd best in the Big 12 according to the polls) as well as the unranked Big 10 team who has only managed to win one conference game??? Surely this can't be true because 38-2 just sounds too damn impressive.
Florida beating Texas Auburn beating Georgia Tennessee beating Alabama Like it or not, you are already seeing why SEC would be in favor of 24 team playoff. Reminder: SEC is 38-2 in non conference games this season. The league is deeper than ever before.

It was important for OKC to extend Cason Wallace, because I think one of the cap space teams would have pursued him with a big offer sheet as an RFA. But, man, the Thunder going to be looking at a potentially massive tax bill next season. Can't wait to see how they navigate it.

You can’t convince me a team would stop Caleb Hawkins four-straight times with an extra blocker in a traditional Wildcat. Or this: 9 OL 1 Malik Charles 1 Caleb Hawkins
Direct message to Eric Morris. Operation: WildHawk.
