“A lovely #seaside adventure story for young children, with plucky little boat characters. I shared it with my granddaughter who loved the colourful illustrations. Great book for the summer holidays.”

Freedom of Movement wasn't about immigration.
It was YOUR freedom.
To live in Paris.
Work in Berlin.
Retire in Spain.
Study in Rome.
Fall in love in Prague.
We didn't take Freedom of Movement away from Europeans.
We took it away from ourselves.

Such a powerful moment to see Andy Burnham and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney wearing our Forget Me Not Badge. 💙
The badge is a symbol of remembrance, understanding and solidarity with everyone affected by dementia.
By wearing it, they are also helping to raise awareness, challenge stigma and send a powerful reminder to people living with dementia, and those who care for them, that they are not alone.
We're incredibly grateful to both leaders for speaking so openly about their personal experiences of dementia.
Their voices are helping to shine a light on the realities of the condition and reinforce an important message: dementia can touch any family, anywhere in the world.

Chest pain, dial 111, two hospitals, two ECGs, one chest X-ray, one blood test, lots of care workers of all colours and creeds later, all good 👍
Isn't our NHS, warts and all, truly amazing?

The “looney left” won us weekends
The “looney left” won us bank holidays
The “looney left” won us every single improvement to working conditions we have ever seen
The left is us, the people. The “looney left” is a media term designed to get you to vote against your own self interest.

A French film explaining what would happen if non whites did what angry white racists want them to do by going back to where they came from. Absolutely sublime. We need this sort of creativity here.

My Lord.
@JoeBiden, 83 years old, battling Stage 4 cancer that has spread to his bones, stood for HOURS alongside @DrBiden as the names of 9/11 victims were read.
Donald Trump fell asleep at the 9/11 event at the Pentagon.
One showed respect despite his pain. The other couldn't even stay awake.
Trump is an embarrassment to the nation and the office he holds.
Really says it all.

Count Binface on the Clacton by-election on US TV,
"If Nigel Farage strikes me down electorally I will become more powerful than he can possibly imagine"
"Because the parliamentary committee will look into his £5 million unconditional gift, which he said he could spend on Ferraris if he wanted"
"But he didn't declare it"

This great new Japanese TV news report on the Clacton by-election makes Nigel Farage look absolutely dreadful and Count Binface look really good.
The Japanese will be loving Count Binface.

The Americans spent two billion dollars on a new Air Force One, a flying fortress with missile countermeasures, hardened communications and an actual operating theatre. And when a real assassination threat finally turned up, the Secret Service surveyed all this technology and chose the sandwich lorry.
The most protected human being in history fled a NATO summit in the vehicle that delivers chicken or pasta to row 34, hoisted down on a hydraulic platform designed for trolleys of orange juice, at a blistering eleven kilometres an hour. If the Iranians had attacked, he could have been overtaken by a man jogging.
His staff were then loaded onto the real plane and flown across Europe as bait, which I imagine featured prominently in the next employee satisfaction survey.
Churchill had a bunker. De Gaulle had a Citroën doing 130 through gunfire. America has a refrigerated box of bread rolls.

Claims she has a button fitted on her belly, and when she gets the nod that he’s asleep she moves her hand and presses a button that wakes him. They’re calling her The Zapper. No idea if it’s true but it *appears* to line up.

We often deal with very complex situations and probably none more so than today. About 15 minutes walk deep into the Thai jungle up a mountain we’d been told about some dogs chained up. The story is very murky but we had to act.
We brought our vet and animal care team from @wearehappydoggo up today and tried to assess the situation. We can’t go into it all yet but one boy was especially bad. We had to act and take him away for urgent medical care are we saw him peeing blood, being incredibly thin and some other worrying signs.
What blew my mind was how his fear and initial barking turned to gentle love for us. He couldn’t get close enough and it was as if he was asking us to be saver. I called him Spartacus because he has been freed from his chains and although he is very sick we can hopefully grow him up big and strong.
There are 2 more dogs there who we are working on and who got full medical care today. The biggest challenge was being so so deep in the jungle that we can’t even get a moped there. I’ll share more about them in the future when I can. That’s ongoing.
Little Spartacus only weighs 12kg or 28lbs which is under 50% of what he should be. He is so frail and weak I don’t know how he did the whole walk back with us. I do know that his tail didn’t stop wagging once.
Let’s see what more we can do but it’s a good start for day 1 ❤️
