This type of fearmongering about Israel is wrong. It is not a winning strategy for any state. It does nothing to help Michigan Democrats win up and down the ballot in eight days. Do we need to lower costs by building more homes, securing people’s health care, and creating a fairer federal tax code? Yes, we do!! How we do so is not by blaming the high costs of our goods on the only Jewish homeland in the world. I want to see Democrats succeed at every level, and that means keeping our focus on lowering costs for Michigan families and reining in this out-of-control President.

The primary reason we moved from NJ to NC was to be political refugees. We decided we shall never live in a blue state again. Democrats are communist tyrants. It was disheartening to vote today and see all the local judgeships and county offices had no Republican candidates. The Democrat runs unopposed! NC has three big problems: Raleigh, Asheville, and Charlotte. We are on the edge of Mecklenburg County, which is where Charlotte is. Definitely not safe here.

It's an unbelievably scary and dangerous time to be trans in this country right now, and while it's true that a handful of Democratic candidates in more conservative areas are engaging in rhetoric that's not productive, the party remains resolutely committed to the civil rights and dignity of trans people. That's simply not in question. I think it's really important for Democratic leaders to correct this record when given the opportunity to engage with this specific community.
