All Republicans who run for office should be required to attend & pass classes, taught by Ron DeSantis, explaining conservative principles and the Constitution.
BAIER: What about the president's pledge to give every American adult citizen a $5,000 dividend if Republicans maintain control of Congress -- where are you on that?
PAXTON: I clapped. This is way to help people with higher gas prices.
BAIER: But on your site it says you're a strong fiscal conservative

If Alan Wilson wants the chance to get reelected in four years, he has to close our primaries and add a proof of citizenship requirement to vote.
Yes, I know that’s done in the legislature, but a good governor works with them to get things done.
Today, I announced our transition team at Reeley’s Body Shop in West Columbia, where I got my first job washing cars.
That first job taught me the value of hard work, responsibility and accountability. Now, as I prepare for my next job as South Carolina’s 118th governor, those same principles will guide our administration.
We’re bringing together a new generation of conservative leadership to put South Carolina families first, make life more affordable and bring real reform to state government.
The hard work starts now.

Here's another thing FagGriftCon inc. hasn't processed either. It's not just that they won in all but the deepest red states. It's the margin. They did double digits. So even in the tranche over that is redder, Rs won by only 1 point in Louisiana and even just 6 in Oklahoma.
Normally, such an election would result in vomiting out the illness, and then the scrimmage line would recede the other way to varying degrees. But because Trump is STILL there and will continue to triple down on every insanity, what is to stop the scrimmage line from moving even further? They can and will now compete in every single state except Wyoming, Idaho, and the Dakotas. That is it, folks. I had this thought as I was making calls about the KY, MS, and LA gov primaries coming up. We will struggle just to win a general election in those states.
These are the things that people who are not mission oriented but career oriented refuse to consider.
Behavior like this is why Tuesday was so bad. We would have lost big based on the economy, but all things like this must have made a difference because we were wiped-out more than we have been in decades. What is amazing is how Trump supporters can't see it. They can't see how the President's behavior could be so unsettling to people.
In virtually any other functioning democracy, this would result in a swift removal from office. I mean that literally. This level of insanity would not be tolerated for a single day.
And yet here we are.
Not only does he do this every day, he has been doing it every day for more than a decade. Not merely daily, either. Every few hours. Sometimes every few minutes.
It is mind-numbing that America, the greatest and most successful democracy ever devised, has been forced to endure this endless parade of lunacy and toxic buffoonery from a man who could scarcely do more damage to America's reputation if he had actually been recruited by a hostile foreign power to do precisely that.
And before somebody starts: scour my feed. Look for the posts where I call him a traitor or a Russian asset. You will search in vain. I don't believe that, and I don't traffic in it.
My explanation is considerably less exotic.
I think he's a crazy moron. An insufferable and indefatigable ignoramus. A chronic and habitual bullshitter. An exhausting, egomaniacal, narcissistic asshole.
And those are his better qualities.

They already sealed a deal in Alabama and Wyoming. So what they are doing now is making sure that the 4.5 red states still left turn blue next election, because at this point, why not just go for all 50?
But then again, the same circle jerk class that was at the pinnacle of incumbent influence and access that got us here now have the temerity to turn around and act as enforcers with zero self awareness that they are the problem. In order to deflect, they get into fake social media fight with the OTHER wing of the establishment that is dead anyway so they can offer people a false choice. Zero humility.
This is something that requires much greater thinking and doing than moving onto the next grift. At this point, if nothing changes, Dems will win three more red state govs in 2027.

This has always been the plan.
MAGA Inc is the new Trump Org.
It would be a big mistake to keep the party chained to Trump and his endorsements.
Just like the Bush era needed to end, so does the Trump era. The party needs new leadership.
SCOOP: Trump has told advisers he wants to keep raising money for his super PAC
The goal: Maintain his political muscle after the GOP's midterm drubbing -- and retain the ability to influence the 2028 race and keep Republicans in line

Nah, the map matters.
This was a map that fundamentally favored Republicans, but they are going to lose at least 8 (probably 9) Senate seats, and all of them but one (Collins) are in red states.
When Obama lost 9 seats in 2014, it was in states like AK, LA, WV, MT, AR, NC, SD, etc. All of them but CO were red states with old-style "blue dog" Democrat holdovers just waiting to be beaten.
There's just no way to compare that to Democrats taking out Republicans the way they did in red states this cycle. It was bad. Very bad.

Well, ive tried that for years, but nobody gives a damn about primaries, and then Trump just comes in and endorses every liberal. The problem is much deeper than people realize. This is not a game of inches, but miles. We are off by miles and everyone is pondering a game of inches like it's any other day in politics.

People wonder why there has never been this magnitude of catastrophic failure in modern politics. Well, you watch the reaction to it on "the right," and you will understand that the same reason they won't flush and rebuild is the same reason why we got here to begin with.

Hilarious how they run on Trump being Hitler but now that they have Congress, they know the truth; Trump is transactional and will sooner sign their crap and throw conservatives under the bus, especially if that helps him escape trouble teapawt.org/theblaze/status/211849…

Exactly. The left abandoned the traditional conception of environmental stewardship and natural resource protection in favor of climate ideology.
We have done the largest environmental restoration project — the Everglades — in US history. We are now doing some of the federal projects related to the effort on behalf of the Feds (we do it quicker in FL).
Huge accomplishment for our state and the nation!
Replying to @RonDeSantis
Ironically you’re actually really good on the environment, just real issues like clean water and preserving natural spaces. Just not the whack job climate scam ideas that jacks up fuel prices. You wouldn’t believe how my state blows “Climate Commitment Act” $ 🥴🤦🏼♀️

It’s funny that the people who keep telling us the world is coming to an end if their power ends are doubling down on all the things that caused them to lose power.

In 2024, Ron DeSantis just took it — all the insults. Now, in 2026, he is dishing it out. Being ruthless.
The best version of Ron DeSantis is when he doesn’t take any shit from people.

South Carolina fell to #34 on the Tax Foundation's 2027 index, down six spots, even after cutting the top income-tax rate. Rate cuts alone aren't enough. Hold spending growth to population plus inflation, keep cutting the income tax, and make every dolllar understandable. #scpol teapawt.org/TaxFoundation/status/2…

"One of the difficulties with DeSantis is that he's got all the right enemies but not enough friends."
In other words, exactly what you would expect in the political world if you ACTUALY pose a threat.
One of the difficulties with DeSantis is that he's got all the right enemies but not enough friends. Everyone who works closely with him love him (which is why he's been so wildly effective within his immediate sphere of influence)
The crazy thing is that, even while Romney and Trump hate him, he still plays for the team because he understand that this is how team sports work.
