Recruits: get rid of the turn signals and stay in your own lane.
Give YOUR journey 100%. Stop worrying about who’s in the fast lane, who has more offers, or who’s getting more attention.
Your path is your path. Keep working. Keep improving. Keep moving forward.

Recruits if you are serious about playing college basketball make sure you have full game film ready. Highlights are cool but they won’t get the job done. Looking cool on IG doesn’t = college offers!

Recruits: if you REALLY want to make it easy for coaches..create a YouTube channel. Upload multiple highlights AND full game film. Put the link in your bio and don’t give them a single reason to not find anything. Have it listed clearly and by type of video.

Had a longgggggg convo with the Milwaukee Bucks about High School prospects
95% of the questions were about character and off the court stuff
It’s funny seeing post from coaches who didn’t believe in someone but now that it benefits them they try to act like they’ve always been a believer. Stinks because 9/10 true colors always show again. #disgustingwork
Spoke with a D1 coach last night for good bit. The best takeaway for kids to hear, they don’t know what their roster will look like in the spring let alone 2028/2029. Recruiting is completely different, unless you’re completely different coming as a high school prospect.

And players want to stack offers and play the game.
D1’s are taking 27 yr olds!!!!
Wake up kids
Davidson has a 27 year old married father of 2 on their team this year….
Meet John Carter Jr. who has had one of the wildest paths you will see in college sports for sure😳

The single biggest mistake high school players and parents make is becoming way too concerned about college baseball and “what’s next”…
These are some of the best years. Don’t take them for granted. Be obsessed with where you’re at now, and trust the future to take care of itself.
If you’re working your hardest, and you’ve got some talent - college will happen. Don’t obsess over it or allow it to steal the joy of the now.

HS Athletes or better yet Student Athletes…….. It has to be BOOKS and BALL!! It can’t be just BALL! You will limit yourself if you don’t have BOOKS! If anyone tells your kid different you need to RUN!

Adults need to stop being scared and tell things as they see it. Stop letting kids be the adults in the room.

Success doesn’t happen by accident, it’s built through preparation. Every workout, team meeting, practice is a chance to prepare. Show up, give 100% & keep learning. Each time you invest in yourself, you gain an edge. Preparation builds confidence & confidence drives performance.

We’ve started treating education like an expense but youth sports training like an investment.
