Recruits if you are serious about playing college basketball make sure you have full game film ready. Highlights are cool but they won’t get the job done. Looking cool on IG doesn’t = college offers!

Recruits: if you REALLY want to make it easy for coaches..create a YouTube channel. Upload multiple highlights AND full game film. Put the link in your bio and don’t give them a single reason to not find anything. Have it listed clearly and by type of video.

D1s want Pros (literally), D2s want D1 Talent, D3s want D2 talent... NAIAs want D1/D2 Talent, UCSAA & NCCAA want D3 Talent.
The higher level programs at each level want even higher level players -- the top D3s have D1 talent!

Had a longgggggg convo with the Milwaukee Bucks about High School prospects
95% of the questions were about character and off the court stuff

The single biggest mistake high school players and parents make is becoming way too concerned about college baseball and “what’s next”…
These are some of the best years. Don’t take them for granted. Be obsessed with where you’re at now, and trust the future to take care of itself.
If you’re working your hardest, and you’ve got some talent - college will happen. Don’t obsess over it or allow it to steal the joy of the now.

HS Athletes or better yet Student Athletes…….. It has to be BOOKS and BALL!! It can’t be just BALL! You will limit yourself if you don’t have BOOKS! If anyone tells your kid different you need to RUN!

The naia to d1 pipeline is crazy. Funny part is naia don’t even have a portal or agents

Adults need to stop being scared and tell things as they see it. Stop letting kids be the adults in the room.

Success doesn’t happen by accident, it’s built through preparation. Every workout, team meeting, practice is a chance to prepare. Show up, give 100% & keep learning. Each time you invest in yourself, you gain an edge. Preparation builds confidence & confidence drives performance.

I’ve coached plenty of players who had D1 offers and chose D2, D3 or JUCO because it was a better fit.
Yet people still look down on that decision. Stop chasing a D1 label to impress people. Choose the right school, the right fit and a place you’ll actually play & last at.

Had tremendous Prep coach who’s been very successful in the landscape say it best.
If you are a high school prospect that isn’t a 4-5 star most of you need someone or a team pushing for you.
Many D1 programs don’t even have a freshmen on the roster.

Trainers and coaches, please emphasize pace in everything you do on the offensive end.

We are blessed to have 1 HS commit for the 2027 class already and he gets to play his senior year pressure free and knows he’s going to a program where he’s a priority. Recruits, if you have the opportunity and find the right fit don’t wait, go where you’re wanted
