And yet people are dumb enough to believe commercials that say this and that certain politicians will require it smh
So I guess add that to your end of game scenarios to work…if the other team attempts a fg not on 4th down you block it and the kicker recovers with time remaining of 10 seconds or less make sure you rip his helmet off on the tackle so they don’t get another try

With discipline, most days look the same. It’s consistent and will eventually yield results.
Without discipline, every year looks the same. No growth. No production. No change.

No athlete has ever improved a skill by being punished with running.
Skills improve through intentional, task-specific training. Punishing an entire team with running only creates a negative association with it while doing nothing to correct the actual issue.

If anyone is wondering why there are no injuries for Indiana..here is Cignetti’s practice philosophy!!

I was watching a high school game with a coach from a P4 school. He was recruiting a great receiver. The QB threw a pick and the receiver didn’t even try to make a tackle. He jogged a few steps then stopped. The P4 coach said, “that’s all I need to see.” Don’t let a lack of effort get you taken off the board.

I appreciate the passion. But trying to be industrious and make good decisions while sleep-deprived is like trying to swim in plate armor.

This is the part of coaching I’m most proud of! These guys take their grades seriously and know they’re student-athletes, students first! Great jobs fellas

If I were a coach (I never would be), I would mandate that nobody can sleep at the facility, and you have to choose one day per week where you go home at 5 p.m.
Not because I'm nice, but because a burned out/overworked employee is not an effective one. I think there's culture in coaching that is focused way too much on the badge of honor you get from the number of hours you worked rather than the quality of work you're putting in.
You're either good at your job or you aren't - grinding out an insane number of hours usually doesn't change that.

Compliance vs. Committed.
We’re sorry, but this is not it & if people out there think it is, follow it up w/ an analysis on whether our profession is gaining or losing Coaches. They’re connected.
Incentivize w/ opportunities for “more,” not w/ the notion of “you will lose.”

So, are the band directors getting their CDL? AG teachers? Drama teacher for one-act play? Just coaches, got it !!!

Soooo, instead of hiring a highly qualified bus driver to do what they are paid to do daily.
You'd rather put Coaches and kids at risk by adding another duty to a longggg list of things your Coaches have to worry about during the course of a GAMEDAY!!!
Ohhhh Yuh,...GO WIN!!!

Wonder when districts will start having these same standards for other departments and organizations that require bus transportation? If they are out there I have not seen them.

I respectfully disagree with this mentality! Coaches are already overworked and underpaid as it is. Reducing stipends for coaches who don’t have a CDL is the wrong approach and will only push more coaches out of the profession.
If districts need more coaches to obtain their CDL, incentivize it through additional compensation rather than penalizing those who don’t have one. Coaches already give countless hours beyond the school day to serve their student-athletes.
We should be looking for ways to RETAIN quality coaches, not create more reasons for them to leave the profession! 💯🏈🏀🏌️♂️

This is not an incentive. This is a punishment.
Many coaching stipends have not changed for YEARS, but let’s take 25%-50% off their stipend.
If we got paid like a regular bus driver and made a decent amount for driving each game … more coaches would line up to get their CDL.
