I agree and have been proposing for a few years now this will require pressuring the vendors they use: Data, texting, and fundraising. And we probably need to legislate solutions too. But it is naive, at this point, to think the bulk of pollution is coming from the scam PACs. The entire eco system of unsolicited text & email fundraising is extremely problematic. This includes from legit committees and candidates that I want to succeed. On the ground in a battleground state I can’t tell you how many times good Dems that donate sometimes complain to me about the inundation of messages they get and use it as evidence they are losing faith in the Democratic Party. I was even further radicalized against this system when a senior loved one this year got very seriously hurt and upon taking her phone while she was incapacitated in the ICU our family saw there were HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of texts coming in. I wrote about it a little this am and many times over past few years.
