Under Biden, the highest inflation in any one calendar year was 7% in 2021. The seeds for that high inflation were sown under Trump in 2020. Annual inflation then fell every year under Biden. It will rise every year under Trump. Both 2027 and 2028 will likely see gains above 7%.

DWI arrests in Austin are down by more than half. Traffic deaths are up.
Not a coincidence.
APD used to have a DWI Enforcement Unit, including 3 sergeants, 3 corporals, and 20 officers. Their whole job was catching drunk drivers before drunk drivers killed.
In 2021, after Council cut 150 officers and halted cadet classes, the unit was disbanded, along with traffic enforcement, and the officers were sent back to patrol. So now APD is short 345 officers
Drunk drivers still get arrested in Austin but mostly after they crash and hurt people.
