Bro is surprised that an in-development, closed-alpha game gets more updates than Valve's other games.

We're literally playtesting updates before the game officially releases. Of course there are going to be massive content drops throughout development. A fancy webpage doesn't change the fact that we're still playtesters.
The guy clearly has no idea how any of this works. He admits he's never even played Deadlock, yet hearts comments like "Deadlock fans when Valve doesn't update the game for 0.0002 seconds."
Never mind that it took 9 months for City Never Sleeps to drop.

A former Epic Games dev says Steam has become almost impossible to compete with, even if someone builds a better launcher.
Kiaran Ritchie argues that developers aren’t really paying Valve’s 30% cut for its services, they’re paying for access to Steam’s huge player base.
He believes most Steam users simply have no reason to move to another store, even if it offers a better experience.
“They played capitalism so well they broke it.”
Ritchie says that Steam has become so dominant that developers can’t afford to ignore it, leaving them with no choice but to accept the 30% cut.
