The FTC has been investigating YouTube since 2025 over concerns about potentially deceptive content enforcement practices.
On August 27, 2026, Reuters reported the investigation was nearing a potential lawsuit. No lawsuit has been confirmed in the reporting I could verify.
Separately, creators are reporting demonetization, suspensions and lost income. Could automated systems be making mistakes? Are creators receiving fair reviews and meaningful appeals? These concerns deserve scrutiny, but a connection to the FTC investigation has not been established.

If the FTC is investigating YouTube, it should look closely at what happens when creators are WRONGFULLY terminated. Years of work, millions of views, and people's livelihoods can disappear overnight. Then AI rejects their appeals, support ignores their evidence, and YouTube calls it a “FINAL decision.”

It has been months since my channel was wrongfully terminated, and I still have not received a genuine human review. Your automated system continues to reject my appeals.
I officially won my independent out-of-court dispute through Appeals Centre Europe (ACE), and I also have an active case with the Irish Digital Services Coordinator (Case: CAS-06051). Despite these decisions, my channel has not been reinstated I finally Filled Up with @CNaM_ie They now Accept me.
I respectfully ask YouTube to escalate my case to the compliance team and conduct a genuine human review. If you continue to uphold the termination, please provide the evidence that justifies your decision.
My channel was terminated on January 10, 2025. I had worked hard to reach over 1,000 subscribers, and losing my channel has been devastating.
Please stop relying on automated responses and review my case fairly. I simply want my channel restored if it was terminated in error.

I hope more people speak about this situation and spread awareness.
As hard as this whole situation has been on me, I know people who have been affected by YouTube's AI in a more severe way than me.
People's financial stability and livelihoods are being affected.

YouTube cannot continue demonetizing creators’ channels, especially animators.
We need clear explanations, transparent evidence, or meaningful human review.
We need a proper and fair appeal process to judge our work, not an automated system.
Behind every channel, there are REAL PEOPLE who have put YEARS of hard work, creativity, sleepless nights, investments and their hopes and reams into their channels.
And one automated decision can wipe it all out.
AI should help people and not destroy their livelihoods.
When YouTube’s AI gets it wrong, why are innocent creators the ones paying the price?
Years of work, countless hours, and real income are at stake. Yet creators are left with automated rejections, no clear answers, and no meaningful chance to defend themselves.

You have forced my hand to delete 7 Years of hard work. And I did so because I thought I would definetely get my monetization back. This way my other channels would stop being demonetized due to "related channel"
But NO.
3 of my channels are demonetized stil for no valid reason.
I am losing out on more than $10,000 a month from this unfair demonetization.

Meanwhile, I just spoke with Creator Support, who checked their internal system and claimed it was for violent or graphic content.

The Issue: The channel was abruptly flagged and terminated by YouTube's automated review systems for alleged "Community Guidelines" violations.
Current Status: I submitted an immediate appeal through the standard platform tools, but it was quickly rejected by an automated message confirming they would not restore the account.
My content entirely consists of original animations and Gacha videos that do not violate platform policies, and I believe this removal is a severe automated false positive.

@TeamYouTube How long are creators supposed to wait? It has been ages, and countless creators are still fighting to get their channels back after automated enforcement.
Creators deserve a real human review, not another automated rejection. We put years of work, creativity, and time into our channels. Losing everything because an automated system made a mistake is unacceptable.
If a channel genuinely violated the rules, explain the violation clearly. But when creators repeatedly appeal and receive automated responses without meaningful human review, what are we supposed to do?
Stop ignoring creators who are asking for help. Review these cases properly and give creators a fair chance to recover their work.

My biggest advice on what to do is just to keep begging, menton @/TeamYouTube post in comments of others dealing with the same issues, & keep pestering them. Make sure not to lay it too thick or lash out too emotionally when asking YouTubers for help. Don’t pester them
